It will always be Bramley Moore or BMD to me, as it’s likely it’ll change its name every 5 years or so.

Thoughts on player statues to adorn the 2 plinths? I think its hard to boil our success down to 2 personally. Dixie Dean is our greatest player, but he already sits outside Goodison and Kendall probably only compares in terms of his iconic status.

I'd like to reflect eras personally, to represent how Everton have won titles going back to 19th Century, if we were to win the PL before Villa, we'd be the 1st to win it across 3 centuries (just checked and Liverpool, Utd Arsenal didnt win it until 20th Century). We also won the league title as ww1 and ww2 broke out so alternatively a memorial to those that served and died would be poignant.

Purely based on titles and the iconic player from each one.. I'd suggest more than 2 and go with..

Milward 1891
Parker 15
Dean 28, 32
Lawton 39
Catterick (63,70)
Alex Young 63
Kendall 70 , (85, 87)
Southall 85, 87

Probably Catterick or Young tbh

I think its harder for Everton as our titles span more eras than pretty much any other team. Be interesting to see if another club has wom titles in more decades. Its safe to assume that the wars breaking up 2 title winning teams likely cost us a few more titles. I'd love to see some representation of the pre ww1 success though.

It's a football stadium, not the fucking Vatican. How many statues are they wanting? :)

I was only thinking this the other day, but along the lines of naming stands, as I’m not into east, west etc. Definitely need Dixie and Kendall, after that I’m not sure, but as Gash said, I don't want statues galore.

Howard Kendall, Alan Ball, and Colin Harvey are at Goodison also.

Yeah always felt Labone was as derserving of a statue too. One club man, passed on the chance of a 66 world cup place due to his marriage, by all accounts, the epitome of an Evertonian and "the last of the Corynthians.." And then Ray Wilson as a world cup winner.

Hard having so many legends through your history!

Just chucking names around. Suppose the other argument is that we just wait for new heroes who make history at the BMD.

In which case Milward can have his statue at Anfield., since thats where he won the title

If I had to pick 2 and not include the Trinity or Dixie then probably Labone and Southall.

Kendall and Dixie have to be included, it’s Everton history not BMD, and it’s too long to wait for new heroes.
Unless they’re waiting to bring the statues from Goodison over when it gets closed in the not too distant future, imo.
