Needs to be starting games to see what he's about, really hard not to take shots on when you are coming on to try and impact a game

You put him and Ndiaye in the team together and then you've suddenly got 2 players who want to drive forward with the ball at their feet. Could be fun.
I genuinely think that could be absolutely terrifying for the opposition defenders, both creative dribblers and Alcaraz able to play those killer final balls... Stick a half decent striker in front of them and we'd be scoring for fun.

Just seems like a proper Moyes player to me. Got strong work-rate, plays on the front foot, decent level of talent and an attitude on the pitch where he's fiercely competitive.

He offers so much more on the attacking end than any of our other midfielders. Should be starting games and early doors but it sure looks like we ought to be making his stay here permanent doesn't it?

Think he has shown more than enough for me to warrant signing him.
Get the pop shots shout but that can be coached out of him.

Yeah, I think he's done enough to warrant his chance. Not perfect, but that's not the market we shop in. We're looking for players who want to be here, want to improve and have talent but also room to grow.

Happy to put it down to perception bias.
But every game he has played it's felt like - in the last 10 minutes of a game - we've had 2 chances that have fallen to him (or, he has created in all fairness) and there has been someone in acres of space. Often in the box. Always in a position to turn a draw into a win.
He has twatted it at a defender each game. Every game.
It's all that stands out to me about him now because of it.
I’m with you. I’ve seen him do it too. But he does a lot of good stuff and it comes across to me like he’s trying too hard and wants to open his account. I don’t mind it while he’s still acclimatising to the league, but I would hope by the end of the season he’s using a bit more nous.

I think part of that is him trying to make things happen with the short amount of time he often has to impact the game...plus if I had to pick between shooting, or passing to either of our wingers in the hope they'll score...I'd probably shoot too.

I think he’s my favourite player at the minute. Aside from Pickford. And with Pickford I’m just grateful he’s still here. Alcaraz I actually like to watch. Pickford I want to have quiet games with fuck all to do!

Loved how he was first on the scene when Curtis Jones was kicking off. Says something when he is only a couple of games in to his time at the club and at 22 he is flying into a situation in front of the away support.
Would love to see him and Ndiaye as people have said, I'd be mindful of starting both and maintaining some element of control and patience in the first half, picking the right time to try things etc. All part of growing an understanding and developing within the team, just doesn't come overnight.

I like him - but I got burnt with Andre Gomes so I’m reserving judgement until I see what he’s like once he’s signed on a permanent

We've got an obligation to buy if he hits targets. What if he doesn't though?? Could they then ask for more money or sell him to someone else

He just reverts to being their player to do with whatever they want/the contract allows.

That's the problem. He looks like a bargain at the price but it also looks like he won't meet the terms for the obligation. Could end up in a situation where we have to pay more or he gets a better offer
It's a weird situation if the obligation doesn't become an option at the same price if he doesn't meet the criteria

He's features in every game so far. Why wouldn't he meet the obligation trigger?
