Whilst I’m not averse to the signing it’s one I would have maybe expected towards the end of the summer when your main issues are already boxed off.

The fact he couldn’t get in the side ahead of McNeil under Moyes leaves a few questions.

Maybe we’re expecting Ndiaye to kick up a fuss to move on.

Indifferent on this one. 18m +6 in addons is alright. I expected less if I'm honest given the comments by Bobble about it being significantly lower than the option. I think he's a decent player, that showed a couple of flashes but nothing that I really felt excited by or made me think "wow we need to make this guy perm". Wasn't massively rated by Chelsea fans. I think it's OK. Another body in. Do feel as though we could have left this one later and even potentially returned with another loan and invested the funds elsewhere.

Very happy with the deal. Gives us protection if it doesn’t work out and gives Chelsea a decent sell on should he fulfil his potential. Aside from some flashes of brilliance last season I think he was largely poor when he had opportunities but I’m not overly critical as he’s only 20 and only 22 prem appearances and 2 starts to his name (43 all comps). We really need to sort the RB, push O’Brien in the middle, and hope Branthwaite stays fit or buy a new CB to be able to play a higher line to mitigate his inexperience if we’re to get the best of him. He’ll benefit from having a midfield that can control the ball better though with Hackney coming in.

I imagine it's a case of they've liked what they've seen in training and think he'll keep developing.

Even with limited minutes, I think I was expecting a bit more in terms of attempts on goal and ideally maybe one or two being scored. There is promise there, but I don't know if he's another Lookman in that he'll need one or two more seasons before we start to see the best of him.

Was hoping we might have a go at bringing in Summerville with West Ham going down, but he's probably done enough to get a bigger move.

I think it's very encouraging that he wants to join permanently, given that he had quite limited opportunities. It shows that he backs himself to break into the first team in the near future, and that there's no issue with the manager not picking him enough (so far).
