It's also part of the wider problem we have with a drawn out takeover. We've a manager who knows he won't be here after this season so development of players and build a squad or style of play is on no interest, all he wants to do is look after himself and put himself in the shop window for his next job. I'm not sure the style of football is the best way to do that but he's doing it his way and that means people like Ashley Young will keep getting games over anyone else.

"It's difficult to play against 10 men in a low block...", etc etc
Was anyone else at half time already writing up the list of Dyche's post-game excuses in their head?

A new manager might try and get us to compete in the next few games. Dyche is done he has done a decent enough overall job but he's dipped now and most of us have had enough.

I hear Carsley is pretty handy as an interim... It's wrong that Lee Carsley seems like a dream scenario at the moment.

People mock things like the suggestion of Patterson but how many people saw Doucoure being the answer and pivotal under Dyche after he'd been left out entirely by Lampard? How many people saw Mykolenko being a strong enough LB defensively after being rinsed repeatedly under Lampard?
Some players will be more useful under a new manager. Some will be worse. We've got enough attacking options to be seeing more than we are at the moment. Get the best out of Ndiaye and you'll see a massive improvement in others that end of the pitch as well.

Dyche’s contract definitely expires at the end of the season doesn’t it?
Expires and bursts into fucking flames, hopefully. If he lasts that long.
Thanks for the first two seasons, old chap. Now please, fuck off a bit.

If we weren’t so shit, he’d have never gotten this job.
If we weren’t so shit, we’d have never turned to him.
If we weren’t so shit, he’d never have lasted this long.
If we weren’t so shit, we’d never put up with this.
If we weren’t so shit. Everton That!.

I genuinely feel like this period has drained my enjoyment of footie away totally.
If time allowed, I would normally watch say 4 games a week. A couple of Prem games on the weekend (one of them being us), a midweek game at some point and often a Serie A game (usually Napoli).
This season, I can't bring myself to watch any other footie, and I only just about watch our games, out of a sense of duty more than anything.
I just wanna fast forward to the next phase ASAP, so I can semi-enjoy footie again.

I totally understand this tbh, although I got to this stage way before Dyche got the job. Not sure when exactly but I think post Ancelotti was the moment.
Forced myself to watch MOTD today because I feel completely disconnected from everything else going on in the league these days.

Something you’re not going to see on TV but I have noticed over the past few games is the frantic discussions that seem to take place on the touch line between Dyche, Woan and Stone. If only I could lip read but from the Upper Gwladys they look absolutely panic stricken gesticulating to each other as though there is disagreement. Doubt they could come up with half a game changing tactic between them but whilst we debate how shit the the manager, the players are, it should be noted that he also has shit assistants.

I could barely even check LiveScore yesterday. Haven't watched a minute all weekend, after the desert of an international break. It's like having (admittedly, very mild) PTSD.

It's more going the match for me, I'd be trying to get a ticket every weekend at home under a half decent manager for the last season at Goodison but going the match is an utterly miserable experience even if we get something from the game

This is exactly how i am feeling, and have been for a while now it is an absolute chore watching us play football.
I used to rage at international breaks and be climbing the walls in the summer waiting for the season to start, not now i love it that i won't be worried about what utter shite we will be turning out and wanting other sides down the bottom to lose even when they play the shite.
It's just an all round miserable experience being a blue.
I'm just so hoping that this takeover will bring some joy back to the club

Yeah we aren't fun. Manager no one likes. Plays no one likes. Results matching the above. Club who's ever decision for years has been wrong
We do have an opportunity to reset next season with the takeover, new ground and better ffp.... which almost certainly means nows the time we'll get relegated

Cooper sacked. Let's stop pretending what this fella is doing after two years in the job in anywhere near acceptable.
