Nice few minutes from him today I thought, one of our brighter spots

Kind of lost in the pandemonium, but that was a clever little header to set up Tarkowski. Would have been easy for him to panic in that situation and try to head it at goal but he got it spot on. Don't know if he knew someone was there or he was just taking a chance, but I'm so glad he got it right.

I'm not having that it was an intentional assist. Deffo just jumped and hoped.

I'll take it though haha

Yeah, looking at all the numerous every angle replays, not sure he knew Tarks was there as he never seemed to look behind when he was running in. I think he knew O'Brien was there and maybe was just trying to keep it alive for him or just in general stop the defender getting to it.

I like him in general, although the pot shots from distance from him and others were frustrating at the time.

I haven't liked the look of him since coming back. Seems very naive with his decisions.

Young lad. Probably needs a full pre-season and a few games under his belt. Probably.

Dont understand why people are not more excited about the lad. He started really strongly and looked one of the highlights in those early games, probably overshadowed by the 2 goal up 3-2 defeats we suffered.

He's since come back from a long Injury, influenced games as a late sub, he's 21, and only played 25 top flight games in total for Everton and Villa.

He plays with his head up and is the sort of CM I'd like to see competing for a spot alongside Gana next year.

I haven't seen much yet that gets me excited tbh, seems a bit all over the place and lacks the technical ability of someone destined for a career as a premier league starter.

Early days though and he has impacted games as a sub, so more than happy for him to continue to be a squad player and see how he develops.

Thought his dribbling Saturday helped get us back on the front foot.

I've quite liked him so far. Think he's a much better player than dobbin

Oh we 100% got the better end of that deal and I think over time he might develop in to a decent player but imo it's not a definite.

Not every player has to be a world beater and players develop at different trajectories so I'm not writing him off. I wouldn't want us relying on him as a starter next year but happy to see him get minutes off the bench and see if he can kick on.

He's a busy player but not convinced he has great positional awareness to play at this level.

Good on the front foot, suspect on the back.

Feel like we will make money on him at the very least as expect him to improve and he definitely has the raw talent.

Yeah. He’s athletic and combative with a bit of technical ability to go with it but he has a ton of work to do on the tactical side. He tends to chase the ball around and the positional awareness is lacking.

It’s one of those things. Some players figure it out and realize their full potential, others don’t. I tend to think that more players swing in the “don’t” direction but I have nothing to support that claim other than my own qualitative judgment.

He plays like a kid in the park sometimes just chasing after the ball lacks awareness of what’s going on around him but has a lot of plus points too player in there just not sure if it’s a premier league level player

He’s no worse than that Philogene lad we lost out on.
