New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
Stop this.
It’s ours and it’s great.
As long as we are here and a football club this is where we play our football.

Legally we have to own it. It's in the contract for the land it's built on.Audrey Horne wrote: ↑Wed Jul 24, 2024 9:20 am A million percent something major is going to happen here. Used as collateral for the shady debts we are in.
Wont own it ever, prob wont ever even play in there.

Without a stadium @TheRam
@AndSeel , it wasn't a random What If.
My point is, no contract we have signed can legally ensure the ground remains ours in all circumstances.
We move in next September and simply sell the stadium to somebody. What can Peel do? They can't stop the sale. They can adjust the lease agreement maybe. But that just means the club pays rent for the land.

If we go out of business we wouldn't need a stadium. The point is stupid.superpull wrote: ↑Wed Jul 24, 2024 10:10 pm Without a stadium @TheRam

I don't know the ins and outs but I imagine we can't legally sell it, probably unless it's ratified hy peel ports. Which I doubt they would.

What is that derelict building next to the titanic in the photos ?
Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
Nah, in less than 20 years time capacity will have been increased to 60 odd thousand and will be one of the Main stadiums for the 2034 World Cup after Saudi Arabia’s bid is fucked off.
Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
Peel have zero say as to whether we sell our property or not.
They may be able sue us for breach of contract if we did. Or there may be clauses in the land lease describing what would happen should we change that element.
But they are not a legal entity in terms of the ownership of the stadium.
Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
I think the basic point people are making is you can come up with a thousand different scenarios as to how this will be screwed up but can't we just take a break, sit back and enjoy one of the things we have to celebrate over the last 10 years? Right now, the only reality is we own a truly iconic, modern football stadium. We will kick-off the 25-26 season there in front of over 50,000. It will be reported as the moment the tide changes for our great club.
Will that happen? Will we become a force again? Who knows. What I do know is the last 3+ years of Moshiri has exhausted me to the point I find it hard to read articles about our pending financial meltdown/new ownership plucking our phoenix from the ashes. The stadium is one shining positive, haven't we done the what ifs to death now? I'm a glass half empty, misery loving, bitter blue but even I'm struggling as we seem to want to find clouds on every silver lining.
