Bit of a poke in the eye for the commercial team. First MCR* now these.

Ah we managed to fit most of a rugby pitch in though

Due to fan “outrage and fume” we’ve banned any future acts/performances/sports from using any kind or red smoke or lights, so they’ve been looking elsewhere

Don't worry, we know a guy who knows a guy and we think we can get Paul McCartney.

Shambles. We should have been pounding on the doors of the bookers doors last January.

Meh, it’ll come. Anfield will have contracts with promoters and various other parties. We’re playing catch-up and you can’t expect it to happen over night. Hardly worth getting upset over

Exactly this - it's all tied up with the Seat Unique deal. Remember we've only just held out first non-football event, so there's still an element of risk for whatever the first entertainment gig will be, and reputation is easily damaged on poorly organised tours.

We've been open a few months

I doubt the process is as simple as some you making out

Anfield has held many huge gigs. We have held zero. We've been open a few weeks. The transport situation is bad.

Things will need to be ironed out before massive bands/organisations turn down anfield and come to us.

Let's not go overboard with criticism.

I think concerts and the likes are arranged well in advance.

A mate of mine worked arranging big events and would tell us well in advance of when an artist was playing Anfield to see if we wanted tickets sorted.

I imagine we’re last in the queue compared to the likes of anfield, etihad, old Trafford and the co-op.
