Everytime we loop a ball into the box and I see the opposition keeper coming to collect an easy catch yet again, I imagine Kangaroo Calvert Lewin steaming in and leaping head and shoulders above everyone.

Even in my imagination his header goes over the bar, but right before that bit it's a really really magical dream.

DCL’s form isn’t helping the feelings towards Barry and Beto I imagine.

His heat map of goals scored is incredible though, that’s another centre of goal between the penalty spot and the 6 yard area.

All that said, he always has been a streaky player in terms of form and injuries usually are sadly around the corner for him. So this does feel in the normal ballpark so far. Going to put himself into England contention though if he can keep going and stay fit.

He's always had streaks in him, he needs to do it through the season and stay fit though.

Even if he does, fair play but I'm not into any kind of regret. We offered him a deal, he didn't want it and we were right not to go in deep on him given his injury record and age. He's still more likely to break down than break records this season.

Same here, i don't have any regrets either.
We offered him a deal and he didn't want it, that's his choice and yes we would have been mad to go all in on him he couldn't stay fit and when he was he didn't look like scoring.
I was out on xmas eve talking to mate i havn't seen for a while who's a leeds fan and told him what had happened with his original offer being withdrawn and he said he totally get's it he said his impression of dcl before he went there was a half decent striker that was always injured.
And while he's loving what he's doing at the moment he knows he could break down at anytime and they go through what we did numerous times

My tongue is slightly in my cheek but honestly, I give you a week of living by a few of them and you'd wish nothing but misfortune on them, and David Cameron can fuck off and so can Prince William.

I thought the Dom and Richy to score on the same day double was in then.

Good job Palace started the season well because they look absolutely knackered at the halfway point of the season.

Don't think Spurs are anything great under Frank. Will be a much needed win if they hold on though.

It's not true of Blues, Wolves, Albion, Walsall or local non leaguers. Every club has it's idiots but I think Villa have an official entrance exam. They genuinely believe they are a club at least as big as Man United or the Shite.

Constantly told how Everton can't be a big club as they aren't even the biggest in their own city and they have wiped from their memory that they were closing the upper tier down the side in the Championship less than a decade ago because they couldn't sell them in those days.

An absolutely odious fanbase on whom I wish nothing but pain and disappointment.

Sunderland similar, with obviously the addition of the AfCon losses. They've got enough points to not get dragged into it at all but they will be worth opposing for the next little while. Could go on a bad run.

Palace way underperforming their XG and I am unconvinced by a lot of their players.

I wonder if they will struggle especially late in the season with the players knowing Glasner is leaving, Guehi leaving, etc.

Even though Coventry have had a bit of a wobble in recent weeks, Boro haven't managed to capitalise and are still 8 behind with Ipswich and Hull both closing in on them.

I'm really looking forward to the Arsenal Villa game later. Hoping for at least a draw for Villa to keep them firmly in the mix.

It's funny as Arsenal have always been my favourite of the the so called "big 6". But for Arteta alone I don't want them to win the league, I just find him insufferable. And his tactics, while effective (although I'm convinced they will bottle it again for being too negative), is a talent sponge, it's so dull to watch (most of the time).

It's hard to like a team that takes a minute to take every set-piece.

Injuries also seem to be frequent under Arteta. To have Gabriel, White, Calafiori, Mosquera, Saliba and Timber all face time out injured just from the defence suggests something isn't right there. Even Saka has picked up a few injuries in the last couple of years.

For anyone watching AFCON, this El Kaabi from Morocco has already scored two overhead kicks in two matches.

Apparently this is a thing for him? 3 minute compilation of them, insane.

Hmmm, penalty against Dunk for a handball blocking a close range shot

Why didn’t we get one again?
