I’m not believing we’re paying him 250k a week.
I think City will probably want £12-15m for him which would be a mixture of wages and loan fee.
If we bring someone in on 250k a week then that’s going to cause issues in the dressing room.
Whatever we save on his wages should go on the loan fee as the optics to that are a lot better.
If we sign Dibling that’s over £70m invested in players 21 and under so I’ll allow the owners being a bit daft if they want.
It’s not like we’re signing James on top of Allan and Doucoure who were all dead money. We’re making smart enough moves now to make some room for the nonsense we so love to be a part of.
All for him like. Will be our best player by some distance and I think he still has a lot to offer the game.
I feel better about this one than I did James, Dele and Eto.
What issues in the dressing room? You think any of our players think they deserve parity with a PL, CL winner?
I'm fairly certain there were no issues with James wage.
Maybe keane should be angry at branthwaites new salary?

If he is for the move as much as people are making our - there's no way Moyes hasn't spoken to him and been encouraging/sold his plan for him.

Yeah, would cause issues with somebody like ndyaie who’s only on around 50k a week seeing us sign a player in a similar position to him on 250k a week.
It’s not great for the dynamics to have one player earning so much more than the rest. You’re naive if you think that won’t cause issues.
As I say, just pay the bigger loan fee to save on what we have to pay wages wise.

There's no way we're paying him anything like that imo. Moyes isn't daft on how that could impact his squad. I actually think Grealish has taken a hit for his career and will love it here...

Checked his stats, just out of interest…in terms of basic goals/assists they’re lower than I thought they’d be. More so the assists, I thought they’d be a bit higher.
He’s obviously bringing other elements to the game but most of his seasons at Man City his goals and assists were low:
1 goal 1 assist 24/25
3 goals 1 assist 23/24
5 goals 7 assists 22/23
3 goals 3 assists 21/22
His last two seasons for Villa were more productive (6 goals, 10 assists, 8 goals 6 assists), but that was probably him playing more centrally. I wonder if we’d look to play him in that role rather than on the wing?
I'm not a big fan of him to be honest but part of his Villa stats is he was cock of the walk there so took every dead ball. Once he went to City, with the players around him there, he was not going to have that opportunity as you aren't letting Grealish have a free kick/pen if KdB or Haaland are on the pitch. That at least partly explains the difference and last season he was pretty much terrible.
As long as that was in his head and he can turn that back round, he has enough underlying ability to do well.

Surprising considering how much you love the Villa mate

KDH Gana
Dibling Grealish
Iliman
Beto
Grealish in the ten and iliman out wide, also.
Fear moyes will insist on KDH playing further forward though.

I have Dibling on the right and Grealish on the left.
Wouldn’t want anyone to think I’m chatting woke split tens nonsense.

Do we not need to actually sign that Dibling for us to be able to play him, lots putting him in line ups yet there appears to be no movement from either side.

Grealish on the 10, absolutely no point having someone with his passing ability and creativity out wide and moving our best left sided player central when he's not got that side of the game in his locker.
Also Grealish played in the 10 for Villa so it's where he put up his best numbers.
I also don't want Grealish spending half his life in his own half tracking an attacking right back up and down the pitch. Ndaiye does that side of things really well and so it'd not make much sense asking someone less comfortable doing it to play that role.

In two minds myself.
1. Kdh isn't a cm for a double pivot right?
2. Gana won't sit with a box to box man next to him
3. Iliman in the 10 I like the idea, not sure Moyes does, and iliman has been good LW for us.
4. Jacks best position is LW, so we want our best players in their best positions. So ili is getting shifted I'm afraid
5. Or jack can play as a CM in a three, so can KDh, but probably not both, and both would want the LCM?
All signs point to iliman, a fans favourite, getting shunted to the right or in the ten, which I don't think the manager fancies...or KDH playing Right Wing I am sorry to say!

With savinho joining spurs does that change jacks status at city
