Confident Arsenal and Man United will beat us.
Confident we won't beat Wolves.
Quite sure the shite beat us.
Might get something against Chelsea.
City probably back to their best at that point.

Maybe 4 points if we're lucky. Still think 0 with Dyche in charge and the mood of the stadium though.

Do think dyche will enjoy being down in the trenches and frustrating these teams.

The defensive side of things is back to how it should be under dyche so we do have a decent platform to build from.

Horrible football relying on set pieces might just get you results in this run in.
He is sometimes a slow mover, think he is sometimes a bit err on the side of caution, the second best action is no action. takes 3 games to be sure about the idea of branthwaite coming back in etc.

So wouldn't be surprised if he's now thinking - ok, defence is back. Now I'll look at adding back the Tark switch, or Pickford being the quarterback like he was last season, or a higher line or whatever.

Agree with that, and reckon the Branthwaite thing is a mixture of:

a) Our second leading scorer Keane was also one of our better players early on, was solid enough and also a creative outlet at times when we didnt have that in the middle of the park.

b) To be dropped when he'd done well is maybe not 100% great for the mood in the squad, and sets a tone. No doubt Keane is a realist, and he would have been told he'd be rotated out, but he'll likely be needed later in the season, Dyche will have wanted that confidence to continue and may have squashed it had he pulled him straight out.

Didn't think I'd see the day where Michael Keane was referred to as a Creative Outlet

Or as a striker, I bet.

But the goals and moreso the quality passes he'd been playing fairly regularly at the start of the season suggests it.

We've not much creativity elsewhere (N'Diaye aside).

Keano has more goals from open play than Dom so far this season.

Never thought I'd say this but he gets a shirt before Tarks and Branthwaite after Sunday for me. Unfortunately Dyche will disagree

We can't slag dyche for not playing keane come on now.

Michael Keane is history, he's not as bad as he's been made out over the years, and has had long periods as the clubs best CB, but he's the past and we need to build forward.

So they both did enough to warrant a shirt? You do shit, you should replaced especially if you have someone who before Branthwaite came back in was playing well

No both been shite but it doesn't quite work like that.

Branthwaite is far and away the best CB in the squad. He's a bit off ATM but you have to play him through it. You cannot drop a £60-70m CB for anyone in this side.

Tark is the senior CB who last season was part of a very miserly defence and worked well with Branthwaite. He's been well off it.

You want to swap tarks out sound, but for Keane really? I think you have to think about blooding JOB. Obviously not without it's risks.

Fair. Out of the two, I'd lean more towards keeping Branthwaite in. But something needs to change
