Great player I’m very suspect about his motivation though we don’t want to get stuck with an obligation if it doesn’t work out

I’m more in the wary camp, mainly down to finances and where his head is perceived to be. That said, outside of football he has always come across as a huge empath who supports and cares for people. That side of him really suits us and what we do off the field.

If Elton Welsby says it's on, then it's on.

In seriousness, not sure what happened last year. City were awful but Grealish was shit even by those much lowered standards. If he's determined to prove that was a blip of a season, it could work. I'm definitely not as confident as some.

I've posted this before but friend of mine is a well known journalist, told me a few months ago that this was a potential deal to be done here. Grealish is happy and settled in the Northwest. Similar to why Pickford probably hasn't moved on. Not always about football.

I don't get the question marks over his motivation to play for England. When Carlsey was in charge he immediately put Grealish in the 10 and he was absolutely class. England's best player.

As soon as Tuchel came in it was curtains for him so I'd imagine he'll be desperate to get back in prove what he can do.

I think that's it. Tuchel doesn't fancy him and I don't think he's arsed that Tuchel doesn't fancy him. I don't think Tuchel would play a way to suit him either so I just don't think that'll be a factor.

That's not to say he won't want to have a good season. I just don't see that as the motivation.
