There’s every possibility we try to negotiate before the option runs out and then just trigger it if they won’t go for it. End of June I think it is and it would be silly not to try and haggle. We can also make enquiries about other wingers because Chelsea will get wind of it and maybe want to make the deal happen earlier so they have cash to make a move. The windows not even open yet so could all just be paper talk anyway and we trigger on opening day.

They arent going to agree to less before the deadline because they might as well hold on and see if theres other biddersBornblue88 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 07, 2026 10:33 pm There’s every possibility we try to negotiate before the option runs out and then just trigger it if they won’t go for it. Re: Tyrique George
George one side ndayie the other dibling in the 10 Hackney beside kdh or garner would be very exciting but will never happen under Moyes
Re: Tyrique George
Just behaves like a proper winger, and much like having a proper RB would be a massive transformation, having a proper winger would be equally as transformative.
He might not even be all that good, but the fact he has a turn of pace, is willing to beat a man, and has a rocket shot just would give us a whole new dimension.
Is he worth £25m though? Hard to say, and we could probably get those characteristics elsewhere too. If Grealish is coming back, a d Ndaiye stays then spending that on a backup might be a bit too much of our budget, so can see why the club haven't immediately triggered the clause.

Re: Tyrique George
Can't say I'm bothered on this one. He's looked decent at times, but probably not enough to warrant 20m, and hardly came with glowing references from Chelsea fans. Depending on what's out there, wouldn't be against another loan with an option, but would save that til late in the window incase there are better options for the loan slots. Certainly wouldn't be rushing to get this one over the line.
Re: Tyrique George
If we can find anyone stupid enough to give us the fee Palace were for McNeil then this is an absolute no brainer - shift McNeil, pay a few extra million and get George.
Trade one of the slowest wingers on earth for a young rapid winger with an eye for goal, its what the team are crying out for. Admittedly, he'll have to trade all his attacking instincts in favour of sitting deep and acting as another defender to get in the team, but if he can do that then we will have a better chance with his pace of turning one of those long 90 yard Tarky punts into something

Re: Tyrique George
They'll surely want him of their wage bill as one of the few that isn't taking a cut in pay. He'll probably want premier league footy.
I can see it happening but for around 10m, United sold him for 15m to the Hammers and he isn't getting any younger.

Or they need to move on a target and need the extra funds. Lots of scenarios are possible777Kidnappings wrote: ↑Mon Jun 08, 2026 8:45 am They arent going to agree to less before the deadline because they might as well hold on and see if theres other bidders
Re: Tyrique George
Chelsea fans also said he was slow, which I think probably says a lot about their squad compared to ours.
Having said that, give me George all day over Garnacho

No manager in their right mind would play that midfield five, not just MoyesKerryblueboy wrote: ↑Mon Jun 08, 2026 10:32 am George one side ndayie the other dibling in the 10 Hackney beside kdh or garner would be very exciting but will never happen under Moyes
