They have definitely asked for an extended licence at Goodison on the last game. Why wouldnt you want to stay in the ground for as long as possible on the last ever game??

Because it’s pointless in my opinion, might wander over to the Winslow and have a couple of pints of cold Madri whilst gazing at the Grand old lady from outside.

How is it pointless. There’s more to staying at after the end than having a cold pint.

O.k maybe I’m just not as emotionally engaged as some people, I did say pointless in my opinion, appreciate not everyone the same.

How on earth is it pointless? Its the last time being in a very special space. I would sit in the ground till 3am if i was able to.

Arsenal was my last game (although I might now be able to go the Southampton game potentially) I had a slow walk around the ground beforehand, remembering the excitement from when I used to sneak to the games as a kid. Had a couple of pints in the Winslow for old times sake, remembering the time Alan Harper got dragged out 15 minutes before kick off because he was needed as a sub even though he’d been drinking, getting dodgy tickets (gate number on a piece of paper) from a table behind the door. Then after the game I just stood with my mate and my son and cried taking a last look at the place, in my head I rewatched so many great moments as I looked at the pitch and the stands. Such a shame to leave, but leave we must. Afterwards back to the Winslow, the Oak and the Brick for one last time.
Actually I think I’ll refuse the ticket if it’s offered as I think I’ve had my moment and said my farewell.

Apparently the fixtures for that weekend were meant to be out by the 4th of April so fuck knows what the delay is.

It’s inevitable, but I’d love to see players from the 80’s and 90’s winning squads,surviving members from the 60’s annd 70’s and more recent players like Cahill, Yobo, Jags, Yakubu etc. do a lap of honour. It would be such a shame if that can’t happen.
We should make it an event with presentations and great moments played on the screen, open the bars and let people take drinks back to their seats.

I can't see how they can't open the gates because there'll be loads outside, just to be at this historic moment. If so, I'm on that pitch for sure...
