Everton v Chelsea
Re: Everton v Chelsea
Wonderful result. Wonderful performance.
Credit to anyone who was there too, as the atmosphere sounded fantastic.

I also felt (CF aside) that we had some decent players on the bench to come on today as well. Branthwaite, Iroegbunam and, to a lesser extent, Rohl.
Whisper it quietly, but after years of threadbare squads. we are slowly building a little bit of depth. Some good additions in the summer and we’ll have a decent squad and some competition for places.

Re: Everton v Chelsea
That was as good as the crowd has been in the new place.
Start of the second half was a bit lackluster, but I'm putting that down to how poor the lack of tannoy downstairs makes things (never check the time to see whe the second half kicks off, so it's always the same - people dribble back(

Just back at the hotel, bunch of Irish toffees in the bar on the early morning Dublin flight, the mood is over the moon, that was by far the best atmosphere we have had since the move, just such a pity that some people felt it necessary to boo Barry when he came on, did t.v pick this up ?

Re: Everton v Chelsea
Well that was wonderful. Physically and tactically dominated a team of chancers. Not a poor performance from anyone, a couple of wayward passes from Gana and a dodgy Keane back pass( other than that we were excellent.
Special mention for JOB, saw off two wingers and had Garnacho frustrated and frightened by the end. Loved it.
The atmosphere was easily the best yet. I thought it was improving in the Burnley game but tonight was different class. Was this the night HDS became our home?

Re: Everton v Chelsea
Any of the more involved internet-heads got any early examples of Chelsea fans comments on the stadium?
Re: Everton v Chelsea
Which part of the ground were you in ? Just wondering how far the Barry booing went, was quite loud in upper north, hope the kid isn’t damaged by that.Mouse wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2026 9:43 pm Well that was wonderful. Yes when he came on and again when he was involved in a play once or twice. Wasn't very loud and wasn't addressed by the commentators I had. Disappointing nonetheless. Enjoy your Guinness.
Re: Everton v Chelsea
South Stand, row 17, you could hear the booing. It was a bit embarrassing and there were a few token boos drifting off into mumbles. Certainly loud enough for Gana to react to the crowd. Hopefully, that’s it out of people’s systems. Point made, now let’s move on.
