Hopefully the new owners have got a clear idea of the direction they want to go in, whether it's during the season or at the end of it.

Kind of hope he gets it together from here, sees us through to the end of the season, then goes on his way at the end of it.

It’s not a long term arrangement and it would be nice to have a clean transition into the new regime.

Make a nice change not sacking or having a manager poached by another club. Just coming to a natural, contractual conclusion.

Hopefully if TFG have anything about them they won't sack him, would cost needless money.

I don't like him myself but he's right for where we are at the moment. He was brought in to make sure we got to BMD as a prem side and I think we will.

Give him credit for matching the brief and then wish him well.

New stadium, no Dyche, clean slate.

The conundrum will be if Dyche gets us into the top half this year. Then what.

I just think with the side we had out today that he can probably get us on 3 different runs of 3/4 wins on the bounce throughout the season like he did last year, whilst probably not playing that well. That would equal a decent points total of near 50 points.

His career win % is 35%. So based off that, that's 13 wins, which strangely was the same amount of wins we got last year. And 9 draws.

I think he could get to 50 points this year, which would only need one more win than last year. And I wouldn't say things were incredible last year.

I think Friedkin doesn't seem the type to keep someone like Dyche around, I'd imagine he'd want his own man and someone that's a bit of a statement at least relative to where we are as a club currently.

Thankfully I don't think he seems the type to appoint on sentiment so unless Dyche really under performs this season at least we won't probably be seeing Moyes as his replacement.

I guess Dyche has this season to really lay down a marker and show he's too good to let go, but I doubt that'll happen tbh.

For me it would depend upon how we’re playing. Last season it had to be whatever it took with the points deductions, this season there’ll hopefully be none of that so we should expect to see some progression. We’ve not got off to the best start so there’s a lot of work to do but we are only 6 games in so there’s time.

I'd say we're in a bit of a win win situation as long as he keeps us up.
We won't feel obliged to offer him another three years if he gets us to top half as we have the new owners new era excuse to say, "thanks and all the best". It would have been more of a problem if he got us top half and still had another year to run.

Mourinho and De Rossi were the type of managerial appointments we've made in the past, and it's not a model I'm happy with.

I hope they've learned a bit in the last 4 years and take us on an improved holistic direction.
