Fans expecting more than 5 wins in 10 months definitely puts a lot of pressure on the players and manager. Quite ungrateful actually.

Absolutely fucking madness that you're saying wolves/Leicester are the same level of club.
Honestly madness.
They are currently and anyone with any sense would rather work for either of them than us (under our current ownership)
People saying but theyve been shit most of my lifetime..... no one in football cares. Being big to players and managers is all about now and the future. We are on a par with wolves and leicester when it comes to attracting talent

Do you expect more than the end of season achievements weve had?? This season is different because everyone is ready for a change if things dont quickly improve

But that's different from being a bigger club?
Like someone said, all the podcasts and press constantly mention that it's a travesty that a club as big as Everton are in this position.
That wouldn't be said about wolves....

We are a bigger club than wolves but i think people would rather work there than under moshiri. Hopefully that changes massively with the takeover and thr stadium
I do think 99% of being big is about now and the future. So arguing whos bigger us or wolves or west ham or leicester is a bit of a tallest dwarf contest. Theres a fair chance we could come back in 20 years and none of the 4 would have won anything of note or qualified for the champions league. I think modern football makes a handful of clubs huge and the rest just filling the fixture lists for them few.

Last season was better than 4 of our last 10 seasons, and within one point of another two of those seasons' tallies.
Given what's going on in the background, the continued asset stripping of our squad over the last half a dozen seasons, and that we've had net spends in the last 4 seasons lower than all but 4 clubs in world football, it's well above par and expectation.
I'm not his biggest fan either, but can we be just a bit rational?

Like I said the only people who care about the 'bigger club' are the fans... In terms of desirability we are at best on par with Wolves and probably slightly above Leicester but with a worse recent history.
We aren't even a big club, we used to be and we have great supporters and history, but if you went around the world and asked people to name the 7 biggest clubs in England we wouldn't feature in anyone's list.
We're also the worst run club in the country and a bit of a laughing stock with the points deductions and relegation battles.
We're a bigger club than Bournemouth but if I were a non Everton supporting manager or player I doubt I'd choose Everton, I'm not sure anyone on here would either if they were a neutral.

I enjoy reading the debates, but it has gone a bit Twitter on here recently. Polarised and doubling-down on opinions once lines have been drawn. Critical thinking and changing your mind is now a rarity.

Why are you ignoring what is being said?
I haven't mentioned the fans. I'm also not talking about desirability currently etc.
I'm saying that in general football terms we are a big club.
Again, not the fans, but sporting people in the press and in the game, agree and say the same. We are a big club in football terms.
And it's honestly insane that you're saying otherwise.

I think at best we could be called a sleeping giant
Let’s hope we wake the fuck up one day soon

I think it depends on your definition of a big club... Are you a big club if you can't compete with the likes of Bournemouth?
I'd say we're potentially a sleeping giant but with PSR there's zero chance we ever compete for titles with actual big clubs.
The press will say whatever sounds good, it's not something I'd base anything on personally.
We once were a big club, so we're Forest and Sheffield Wednesday... It's a miracle we're even a premier league club these days, non of that screams big club to me.
But anyway I'm just repeating myself so I'll leave it there as I'm sure this whole debate is boring for everyone to read.
