Wait. They had 2 goals in one end? No wonder we haven’t been able to score!

I known ts only a friendly but in terms of the matchday experience, how did it feel to watch a full Everton gane without restricted views, or from in the pits of the lower Gwladys? Looks like there is much more space per seat and generally its obviously much more out in the open, do the acoustics that we've heard so much about come across as well as we hope?

After your finest gonzo journalism of the whole event. :D

Can’t speak for everywhere but the seats didn’t seem any bigger where I was. Also, there was not access to the concourse from both sides of the block so lots of standing up to let folk past. I think they’ve packed that capacity in there, even as big as it is.

But the views… oh man those views 💙

There was definitely more room per seat sideways and forward in the East Upper than in the Top Balcony.

It’s difficult for me to judge. They all seem small. My hips don’t lie!

I haven't been the new stadium but the top balcony was extra tight.

Much bigger seat in upper North than upper Gwladys, also bagged myself end of row next to stairs for quick exits.

Upper south seats seemed bigger to me and higher too above the row in front, so no big heads in the way.

Agreed, I also feel like there is a bit more space between seats, they don't feel slimmer to sit on, but the days of getting fingers trapped between seats are gone now that there's a space between each seat.

Seats in the upper south were definitely bigger like. Love Goodison but if there were two even remotely larger blokes either side of you then you were squashed for the game

I don't know if it was just because it was a friendly, so people never sang as loud, but judging from the videos I've seen, the sound system seems too good/loud, and kinda drowned out hearing the fans singing.

How did it feel for those in the stadium?

Exactly what you said. Very quiet fans. Roma fans sounded great and there was only about 8 of them, so hoping when it’s a competitive match that we can raise the roof with close to 50k Blues giving it the full beans.

PA was loud. Couple of times when the announcer spoke, the people sat around me visibly jumped!

Wouldn’t be surprised to see kids with ear defenders on this season.
