Getting more confusing and anger inducing by the hour.
Just had a read of most of those responses. I know the admin will be given certain instructions and trying to put out fires but the dodging of responsibility when asked about the email situation is a joke. No hint of an apology either.

Re: Tickets

Ah fair enough. I'd presumed that they were not resale because i could select the category of ticket (adult, senior, junior) and hence the ticket value, whereas in the past on the resale platform, i've only had the option to pay full price regardless of ticket category, so maybe my mis-presumtion.

EDIT: in fact, the tickets that i seen after 10:00 were denoted with green on the ground map, whereas resale tickets are usually purple, so more intrigue regarding why those tickets were on sale just after 10:00 am and were they resale or not? If not, why were they there.

The club should absolutely have released all of this detail, including ticket prices and match categories, simultaneously with the new membership announcement a couple of months back.

For what its worth, after the first three games (first Saturday 3pm, and first match under the lights), other than Liverpool and Man Utd i don't think it will be this crazy. It was very easy to get tickets for the first 9 games of last season, except the opener. I've even a feeling that one went to general sale and there were several consecutive sub 39000 attendances despite it being the last season at Goodison. It was only the back 9 home games where things started to get silly.

In fact, there are three 8pm matches in the new year, including one against Wolves on Jan 7th. I could quite easily see a gate below 50,000 for that and the Bournmouth 8pm in February. Especially as Bournmouth rarely sell their full away allocation. There is absoulutely no way this club are selling all of those match by match commercial packages for every game unless something incredible happens on the pitch, so contrary to popular opinion, I actually think they could be in for a bit of a shock come the end of the season. Particularly if the parking / transport situation doesn't drastically improve too.

I'm sorry for Forever Blue + members who did not get tickets, paricularly any kids old enough to appreciate the scale of the occasion. It is terrible the way that the game is going.

Surely the club should have sent a block email out to anyone who has applied for the ballot just explaining what’s gone on. Loads of people have pending payments but no tickets showing in their account , total chaos

Doesn’t bode well for anything to do with the new stadium in general

Totally appreciate there will be teething problems and demand will outstrip supply etc but sending me an email at 1702 on Friday that I've failed in the ballot and to tell me resale tickets will be available seven hours and two minutes prior to the email being sent is probably worse than not sending one at all!

I'm no tech expert but they have all our email addresses so setting it up that ballot winners receive a congratulations email and losers receive a commiserations proforma straight after the ballot is done can't be impossible. I appreciate they might have to go in chunks but this just looks shite.

Blatantly should have gone out at 5 last night and they setup the date wrong on the automation.

It's utterly depressing and embarrassing to think you're right, but you're right.

Having failed to do that and having failed to correct it prior to 10am this morning, I think I'd have just pulled the plug and got it sorted for game two.

Had the unsuccessful email at 5.00, to rub salt in the wounds " you can buy resale if you go back in time to 10.00am".

Fucking piss take and a complete shambles, feel like I've been led a merry dance.

Mate got the email at about 5pm to say we'd been unsuccessful, said something about buying a fucking DeLorean and going back to 10am and we might be able to get resale tickets.

Need to stop ranting now and accept what a shambles this has been. Not sure I'd class this approach as the fairest one, perhaps if it had better managed and more transparent, I'd feel differently. 100's of tickets on resale sites for silly money isn't helping.

What happens with the next ballot, another not so lucky dip? Will those that were unsuccessful this time be prioritised or will it just be another free for all?

Kind of feels like the club won't give a shit either way as long as the tickets get sold one way or another.

I still don't mind the not getting tickets to be honest, there was always going to be high demand but hopefully it settles down after the first few games and it becomes a bit easier, I'm a bit fucked off not to get to the last at Goodison or the first at BMD though.

It's more the fact we were lead to believe membership was painted as early access to tickets and said fuck all about any ballot, or that the communication has been fucking amateur, sending out an email 24 hours after fans were meant to get it and telling them that 7 hours earlier they might have got a resale ticket. All that coupled with them flogging "Premium Experience" tickets for £199 to anyone regardless of membership or not (I'd probably have bought one but I'm currently in "fuck you" mode after this week) and even at that it only gets you a seat away in the top corner, a programme, 10% off in the shop but must be used that day, (great a tenner off a £110 shirt!) 10% off a stadium tour that you can't park near and a £10 food voucher which looking at the prices of everything else probably won't get a stale sausage roll.

Yes, it does all feel very underhanded.

I'd considered the premium, but looking at what you actually get for £200 it just feels like another way to exploit fans desperate to get in to the new ground.
