He did not. This is not how basketball works. He has consistently said that he was unaware of the trade until the last minute. GMs and Owners deal with these things, though you would normally expect the coach to be consulted or informed - apparently not the case here.

He's just a member of the owner's group. Probably not even a board member (no mention of that). Seems like just another case of a wealthy American athlete (former athlete, in this case) buying into a PL club. If it has any tangible effect on anything football related, it means that this thing with the Friedkins never had any chance of going right.

Kinnear did a 1 hour plus interview with a Leeds fan podcast after every summer transfer window, explaining their decisions and answering any/all difficult questions. Would be great if he carried that on while he's here.
I listened to one earlier and he came across as quite an engaging character who knew a lot about the team and the players, not just the business.
