Re: Brentford v Everton
Was going to say, I only saw last ten minutes of the second half but I thought George looked impressive. Possibly his best cameo so far. Had defenders on their heels and nice shot on him too.
If he shows more of that in the run in I’d be tempted to keep him.

Re: Brentford v Everton
Great impact from Tyrique, criminal if he goes back without a proper look at him.
Commentator lamenting how unlucky Brentford were....ffs. why... to not win with a jammy deflected goal, due to a perfectly good equaliser?
Anyways feels like a win. Not our best but never gave up and found a way. Made up with a point.

Not great for their second goal but attacking he is a real threat. Id like to see more. Especially in the champions league

Re: Brentford v Everton
George was great when he came on. The openness clearly suited him but I’d back him to score a couple if he gets similar match time going forward.
Re: Brentford v Everton
Always nice when we shit on the commentator's narrative. From before the game started it was all about Brentford and their chances of qualifying for Europe, we were just a footnote despite being level on points with them.
Then Upson suggesting our equaliser was lucky despite saying nothing of the sort when Thiago 'scored' their 2nd.

Re: Brentford v Everton
We have got 2 great defensive CMs sat in front of a very solid backline. McNeil has put a shift in, but Moyes is being hyper conservative if he can't find starts for George in that foward line. Maybe not away to Brentford but he should be a good option at home.Audrey Horne wrote: ↑Sat Apr 11, 2026 4:05 pm Something different isn't he

Re: Brentford v Everton
I mean, that's a tad extreme lol, but we definitely need a bigger squad. I've no idea what will happen with T. Dibs, but it doesn't look good. McNeil will probably go aswell, we might need 2 new wingers along with all the other holes in the squad.Evertonian418 wrote: We'd be fighting relegation if we were in Europe next season.
Nice equaliser KDH, good chap.
Europe still? Nah, not for me, too inconsistent. Would love it though, Kevin Keegan Love It. Even Conference League I'd be over the moon with

We were good in patches. They were much the same but got a flukey goal. Great to see the fight. The equaliser was massive. Keeps us in it and builds momentum. Turn over the red shower and it gets interesting.

Thought the fawning over Brentford all game was a bit much though. Literally same points as us and we have been fighting relegation for the past few seasons but it was all about how amazing they are and not a mention on how well we've been doing.
Re: Brentford v Everton
Great result, momentum is everything at the business end of the season. Can’t remember the last time I looked forward to a derby, this time I’m being tempted!

Re: Brentford v Everton
Coming back twice is a definite improvement. If only KDH had put that chance away, we'd have won that
Re: Brentford v Everton
100% this. I'd say in 70%+ of matches I've seen, the commentators are commenting more on the other team winning / not losing rather than the blues.Matt1878 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 11, 2026 4:02 pm Great impact from Tyrique, criminal if he goes back without a proper look at him.

Like 'Arsenal lost to Bournemouth' rather than ' Bournemouth beat Arsenal'
