Thats a solid list of players to be looking at (if you exclude McGinn)

Yeah it’s looking better than previous years that’s for sure

We all have to remember though it’s baby steps - one or two more strong signings this year, with some fillers, are probably the best way to go

We’ve been here before and fucked it up by lashing loads on proper garbage - hopefully lesson learned

In Moyes we trust.

Spurs doing what they do and stockpiling a bunch of exciting players with similar profiles, each of whom would absolutely smash it here, but will be collectively underwhelming at Spurs.

Apologies for saying whom.

Forest will be in a relegation battle if they sell Gibbs White. He was everything that made them half decent.

Wolves have also been weakened without Cunha.

Brentford will also be absolute trash next year. Norgaard gone, Mbuemo possibly gone and Wissa also might go. But their biggest loss is their manager. They have replaced a top manager with a nobody.

Meanwhile we will be keeping everyone together and adding quality to the squad. Can only be a good thing for us

Not into the idea of spending legitimate money on Luiz or Palhinha.

Loan or cheap deal? Let’s talk.

Spending a legit transfer fee? Even if you get a good 3-5 years, that money’s vanished. Let’s not start fucking around the exact instant we clear all of the debt we racked up signing players with no resale value.

Even if we get the exact, perfect players we want, we’re still in a dogfight for European places. Save the actual money for 25-and-under ballers like Barry.

Brentford, Forest and Wolves will all be down there next season in what should be a much more competitive relegation battle. I'll be disappointed if we're anywhere near it.

I think the problem is the wages for me. You end up paying them similar what they are on despite having proved they weren't good enough for that level.

£20m on a 27 year-old Douglas Luiz is money well spent. Not every player has to be bought with the aim of selling them later and even then you'd get money moving him on if necessary in the next 3 years.

I do agree Palhinha at 30-year-old is less of the sort of player we should be spending money on.

Lads on the blueroom reckon Douglas Luiz is a winger ffs.

Annoys me so much that.

20m is a decent fee but I'm not keen on making him our highest paid player when he's flopped at juve and we are at a lower level than villa too. His opportunity to play at the very top has gone so how motivated is he. Is he really worth similar to what juve are paying him when he's not been worth it while he's been there

I think we just end up being the mugs who cover for bigger clubs expensive mistakes. We've done that before with gomes and Morgan
