Re: Dyche
Starting to feel a lot like the Dyche Burnley sacked the other year when they were firmly in a relegation battle with us. Seemed that the players and fans had ultimately had enough of him
Overall he has done a good job to keep us up twice. If he stays in the job it doesn’t look likely to me that he will keep us up for a third time
I think he is rapidly losing good will with any of the fan base now due to the horrendous possession stats and lack of plan with the ball and insistence on playing certain players. The football is ugly and that is fine if the results are good. When it’s constant defeats it’s hard to see the point of it all. The booing of substitutions is usually a fairly decent sign that the fans have had enough
Think if a takeover does happen then the axe will be quickly swung if results don’t improve
He’s probably done enough here to get another firefighter job at a struggling prem side in the future. But we must be entering the end of the era of these type of managers

Re: Dyche
There's a definition for insanity and Dyche is conforming to it. I also think serious questions need asking of his staff. They train all week and play like that!!

Re: Dyche
He started the season with loads of goodwill from the end of last season beating the shite and the good run we went on I couldn’t forget the 4 months we went without a win though was niggling away at me then he starts the season with Keane and young and bang there goes the goodwill in 1 game he has doubled down since still playing them and will do so again this weekend has to go no other option if we are to have any hope we need the crowd behind us
Re: Dyche
Who's he playing instead of Keane because your man O'Brien looked far worse than Keane last night, in fact Keane had to baby sit him several times. I get people want Keane out the team but god help us if O'Brien's the answer in his showings so far.Kerryblueboy wrote: ↑Wed Sep 18, 2024 9:52 am He started the season with loads of goodwill from the end of last season beating the shite and the good run we went on I couldn’t forget the 4 months we went without a win though was niggling away at me then he starts the season with Keane and young and bang there goes the goodwill in 1 game he has doubled down since still playing them and will do so again this weekend has to go no other option if we are to have any hope we need the crowd behind us

Re: Dyche
I mean that's plainly not true. Some were calling for his head at 2pm on the first Saturday. That's not loads of goodwillKerryblueboy wrote: ↑Wed Sep 18, 2024 9:52 am He started the season with loads of goodwill from the end of last season beating the shite and the good run we went on I couldn’t forget the 4 months we went without a win though was niggling away at me then he starts the season with Keane and young and bang there goes the goodwill in 1 game he has doubled down since still playing them and will do so again this weekend has to go no other option if we are to have any hope we need the crowd behind us

Re: Dyche
Yep, Dyche stuff aside….
JOB lost all 3 headers he went for last night. Looks way off it. And who’s supposed to be playing instead of Young? I’m sure he’d much rather have someone like Trippier in the team.
Young, much like Dyche, is just a symptom of the club, not the cause of it.
Re: Dyche
Dyche is a very limited and basic manager, but for the most part he’s been competent and stoic.
The fact he’s looked rattled and incompetent sats everything you need to know about our club and the conditions he’s working under.
Happy to move on from him but wouldn’t put it past us to give it to Ian Woan until the summer.

Re: Dyche
Moyes spent half a billion at West Ham. Nothing to suggest he’s the same manager that turned us around after Smith left. Think he enjoyed the high life and spending money; not sure a relegation with his beloved Everton is what he’d want on his CV.
Might be able to persuade him on a long term contract with a guarantee that he’ll be the new owner’s man and will be able to try and build something.
Certainly doesn’t need the money or potential reputational damage to come back.
Re: Dyche
Agree with all of that, just saying it’s the type of lazy option that “give a fuck” Moshiri would go for, I doubt that they have given any thought to a replacement, nobody lined up so doubtful they would pull the trigger for at least another month.Granite wrote: ↑Wed Sep 18, 2024 10:50 am Moyes spent half a billion at West Ham. Re: Dyche
Tell you something about Moyes. If he ever decided to pack in management, I've always thought he'd make a great DOF someday.
Very good at spotting a player and what a club actually needs. Always where heavily scouted, bar a few allowed misses.
I think he'd suit that role well. His quad building was very good when he was at us considering the constraints. Wouldn't surprise me if that's what he geared towards during his golden years.
