Tyler Dibling
Re: Tyler Dibling
Within their rights to do that, but it's just silly unless he does a u-turn and signs an extension with them.
Which is why its probably just a bluff, trying it on. Who else have we got on our shortlist? Time to weigh up waiting until the end of the window for Dibling or getting someone else in.

Re: Tyler Dibling
So if reports are to be believed he’s been given permission to talk to us so he needs to be pushing for the move now

They're entitled to ask for what they want in all honesty. I don't blame them for digging their heels in with the valuation. We did it with Branthwaite and Man U, and we got pissed off when they assumed they would just get him for a lowball offer.
I would like us to at least explore other options, and test their nerve.

Re: Tyler Dibling
The only way it would work is if you planned to keep him for 8-10 years and never sell unless there was a silly offer. Then it all looks vastly different.

Re: Tyler Dibling
Southampton are realistic promotion candidates. They probably think holding on to him unless they get silly money is worth the risk.

Re: Tyler Dibling
Just read they want £45m plus £5m add ons and 25% sell on fee. Not sure if thats 25% of any profit above the price we pay….or whole fee.

It is never ever a percentage of the overall fee.MmmBlueBranthwaite wrote: ↑Tue Aug 05, 2025 11:01 am Just read they want £45m plus £5m add ons and 25% sell on fee. Not sure if thats 25% of any profit above the price we pay….or whole fee.
Re: Tyler Dibling
Although i like the thought of dibling coming to us especially if we get KDH....time to walk away from him now....unless we can do a catalogue deal like man u did with us with rooney and lukaku.....

Re: Tyler Dibling
Honestly just move on from him, yes he's a prospect. Easy to showcase your skills in a team that was never staying up and playing without any pressure.
Re: Tyler Dibling
Would tell them to do one.MmmBlueBranthwaite wrote: ↑Tue Aug 05, 2025 11:01 am Just read they want £45m plus £5m add ons and 25% sell on fee. Not sure if thats 25% of any profit above the price we pay….or whole fee.
Re: Tyler Dibling
If it was a 25% sell on of profit made on the deal i doubt it would ever amount to much for them. If he comes smashes it and Arsenal come knocking unless hes producing unreal numbers i dont he would ever go for more than 75.
Anyway feel the whole fee for me is too high. Look elsewhere maybe test it again in a few weeks.

Re: Tyler Dibling
The problem we have now, of course, is that it's McNeil RW against Leeds.
It's really not ideal, we need to move on to someone else and get them in by Saturday for Roma.

Re: Tyler Dibling
I mean that's outlandish. 45m would be absolutely top end and then on top they want 25% of any profit too. Would be very disappointed if we agreed to something like that. We should have left it at 30 plus a little in add ons
