Such a stressful game to watch. Amazing from Kane. Credit to Gordon, it's problematic though as both he and Rashford seem best off the bench. Maybe Rodgers out there?

Once we got the first it seemed like DR Congo kinda fell apart a touch. They looked a bit more ragged after that and probably just started tiring a bit, clearly our bench had better depth too. They were unlucky though as they probably should've finished the 1st half 2 up and they cut through us most times down our right side.

What to do about the defence though? Just wobbly as fuck. Is Rice our best option for RB? It wasn't all about Spence though, he wasn't good but for the goal he was pulled over having to deal with 2 players with Konsa and Madueke not helping out.

didnt realise that it was reviewed - just thought it was ignored like it was everton playin type situation

Think they're maybe both better against tiring legs? Neither one has yet started a game well. Rashford was particularly poor today though...but so was Gordon when he started.

Was wondering about Rodgers for a go out there?

I thought England played well. Created a good amount of decent chances. It is never going to be easy when you are 1-0 down against a low block team.

I thought we were 2-1 down against Cameroon in 1990? Although we won that in extra time so maybe it doesn't count

I think it is the first time since 1966 we have won a knock-out game in the World Cup after conceding the opening goal

LOL Rooney saying we should've called up Kyle Walker? Unless he has a time machine, that wouldn't have been the answer.

Nah, this world cup has been put on a plate for him.

Not England bias from me, just cringe at the mls Messi poster boy stuff.
