Starting the season with those full back options is an absolute disgrace and no benefit of the doubt should be applied.
Total shambles. Should have been the first bodies in the door when the transfer window opened. Probably Jake to start RB on Saturday.

Looks like another season of making up the numbers while the likes of Man City spend like there is no tomorrow. 85 million on a 18 year kid. Did I miss the outcome of the 115 charges?

I think he just likes watching footie, doesn't he? He used to go to loads of games in his first stint. You'd see him regularly at League One games randomly.
Burnley's just down the road, we've completed our pre-season games. Probably just taking in a big game in the Championship.
Was a cracking watch at well. West Ham were lucky to get out with a draw, having led 2-0.
I think he has mates at Burnley and just enjoys watching footy. He is in the corporate at Burnley a bit apparently. Mostly he probably couldn't be arsed cooking his own Sunday dinner!!

Teams who have signed a right back this window:
Brighton
Bournemouth
Crystal Palace
Chelsea
Newcastle (about to sign)
Our inactivity is baffling.

I'm not sure it's inactivity, from the rumours I'd imagine we've been really busy, we've just failed to get anything over the line.
I wouldn't be shocked if we did our usual dance. We spend way too long chasing someone who was always going to either stay with the their current club or leave to someone better, then, with less time and more desperation, we move further down the list chasing increasingly less suitable options at a price they probably aren't worth.
We've been busy fools again, at least when it comes to the right back position.

We're going to be making up the numbers for decades to come.

I think the problem is the club have identified loads of players at right back and Moyes has said no to them we as a club need to move on from letting the manager dictate transfer decisions

"Merlin Rohl will be like a new signing at RB"
I'm stunned to be honest.
Across 2 seasons our best efforts at landing a RB has been a verbal agreement with Kenny Tete.
Absolute joke.

Might be some of that, but some of our targets seem to fit his needs, but we haven't managed to sign them either.
Probably 1/3rd Moyes saying no, 1/3rd money (the club say no to what the selling club demand, we can't afford it, whatever) and 1/3rd players saying no to us as we're not the next step they want to take.
I can't see it being all moyes, as we've made progress in lots of other positions.

Its a parody. I wouldnt have believed it possible for we not to have got a right back through the door by this time next year and thats knowing how inept we are. Its a disgrace. The transfer committee simply isnt fit for purpose. You just know whatever we end up with will be shite panicked and last minute

I have that Norwich account muted, but it may be extrapolated from this Spurs account which has a very good reputation...

I disagree that the transfer committee isnt fit for purpose, im actually encouraged by the players we have signed. We have signed a number of promising youth players with huge upsides and slightly more risky, but we have shifted some of the 'dead wood' but have we taken more on in return?
There does appear to be a disconnect between the players we have signed and the manager, so I understand the point raised, but id 100% rather get rid of the manager and appoint one that would work with this vision and strategy. Part of the issues I believe we are encountering is Moyes, i think the transfer committee would have got the players in needed if there wasnt such resistance from him, but I suppose we wont know whether this is true until next season when he is gone and someone else is in place?
