Not Ben White discussion again , shite and Injury prone too.

New RB ( If/ if not) this will happen
vvvv

Garner
Rohl
Jake

Rohl will get the berth until we concede a few from the right and Jake will be back in...

Munoz is a top RB in peak condition and at the height of his career. He has a good 2-3 years left and if we can get him it would be a gamechanger for us.

Fingers crossed.

Reports that Barca want to keep part ownership of Fort - didn’t they do something like that with Gerry D back in the day?

Even if in 4 seasons time he slows down or manages only 60min, you allow for players of his ability. Hope he's a decent human too.

Moyes wants an experienced, premier league proven, right back who is solid defensively and knows how to be part of a defensive structure.
I am afraid we will be underwhelmed if he signs a right back at all...

I’d overpay for Munoz ahead of Ben White any day.

Ben White does sound more like a Moyes pick though as he’s basically another CB shoved wide. Also had a lot of injury issues hasn’t he?

Ben White 99% done per the ever reliable Football Insider once Arsenal sign Konsa.

EDIT: Konsa deal is 99% not Ben White. I misread headline.

Ben White is a wet dream for Moyes I think. British and can play as a central defender as well.

If you could guarantee four quality years, it’s basically a no brainer.

I think the issue is that the cliff could come anytime for a 30 year old at the most physically demanding position on the pitch and we’re almost certainly going to find it during whatever contract we’d offer him.

I think it’s a deal you have to do with an expectation of two good seasons. Anything less is a disaster. Anything beyond that is found money. Either way, we need to be shopping for his successor next summer.

It’s lighting a big chunk of money on fire from a financial rules compliance point-of-view but we all know how essential a right back is for the balance of the side and we’re in a healthy enough position with the overall age and value of the squad (we have a few assets who could raise a bunch of money today plus a few that could be extremely valuable with a season or two of good form) that we can afford to do one deal like this.

I’ve got a feeling part ownership deals aren’t allowed in this country and it was a buy back clause I think for a low fee. They activated it when there weren’t many academy graduates in the squad and the president at the time wanted to have one. It was political rather than due to valuing his talent.
