I'm sure our opinions on a naming convention will fade away with the decades.
That was different though, Goodison was permanently named after someone in the community, Hill Dickinson is a sponsor for a defined timeframe.

Just like Spotify Camp Nou won't always be called that.

Etihad stadium instead of city of Manchester.
M&S instead of echo arena
AO arena instead of MEN

All the kids use the former instead of the latter.

Its important though, identity matters. Its about the fabric of what you care about. Moving grounds is a huge cultural shift for the club. For a year or 2, the club will be completely transient, no physical roots to speak of, 'Everton' will be 50,000 matchday people sat in a brand new stadium, trying to recreate what came before. It will change the dna of the club and, as supporters, being custodians of that identity should be paramount.

I'm really looking forward to it, but very mindful of what it is to be an evertonian and yeah, a bit worried that something might be lost.

They should've been our sponsor under "hard-to-stomach" Benitezball.

Wonder how they'll go about selling tickets for the first game?

52,888 capacity, is it about 34,000 ST holders and 3,000 away fans?

So in theory, probably like 12,000 tickets for general sale at the high end of a guesstimate. That's a significant improvement on Goodison's availability, it'll be interesting to see if they continue with the separate windows for purchasing.

Quite a few thousand corporate seats in the new place as well isn't there?

PL rules say season tickets should be capped at 80%
I heard we didn't release that many though.

10,500 is the number I see mentioned most often for general sale

For me, the stadium is called Bramley Moore, Hill Dickinson is just a short-term sponsor name.
