Not seen a team like this on the international stage for a long time.

Now they’re bringing on Doue. Cherki can’t even get a minute.
They are streets ahead of anybody else.
I just love watching this team play football.

France are rues ahead of anyone else, their bench would fill most international eleven XI's.

You're assuming they're beating Doctor Congo first?

Well if they don't then it's still accurate!

As good as France are, I think they've also got the advantage of a squad where the attackers/midfielders are in their prime that are playing for sides that are able to rotate and rest them through the season.

The likes of Doue, Barcola, Dembele, Cherki etc are all heavily rotated so are still very fresh at this point in the season.

I'd love to see some stats on average minutes played this season across the top squads but I can't find it anywhere

I think the BBC did something similar to this, analysing the minutes played by each squad and then the players with the most minutes played. I'm sure Rice was near the top.

One thing I'll say is that every time I see Michael Olise play, I dream about what might have been if he'd have chosen England instead.

I do think Hincapie was saying something offensive though , possibly deserved cos that Mexican player was a complete snide!but so is he and I’ve always hated the hand covering the mouth thing - this is one of the rule changes im on board with. Definitely think Jude Bellingham will get a red for this at some point this tournament, by which I mean either tonight or the next game because that’s when Englands tournament will finish

I give us next to no chance of winning this now.

Mexico at the Azteca, probably followed by Brazil in Miami.

Even if we get through that, which is unlikely, we’re going to be absolutely goosed.
