I dont know how more could be expected.
We'd be 3 points off Europe without the deduction and if we'd had DCL those first few games we'd probably have been up there on 26/27 points.
Done incredibly well given the circumstances when he came in.

The thing that over rides absolutely everything for me, is the fact he has made me enjoy watching Everton again.
An incredibly hard task given not only the last 2 seasons but the points deduction to boot. He's given us an identity back again that we can get behind that we haven't had since, in my opinion, Moyes.
Think it was @kramer who said it feels like the second coming of Moyes, in a sense, he's absolutely right.

Imagine we had a genuine striker the first few games.

Noticed that he's switched out the tie pin from the premier league logo one to an "all together now" tie pin.

Got to hand it to him. Wasn’t n favour of him generally getting our job but he’s doing a cracking job.
Been said before but he sets us up to nullify our opponents very well. Most teams play poorly against us and it’s no surprise.

“We’re not the real deal, you know” at 2:45 is proper

Talking like a man who knows he's cooking.
You absolutely have got to hand it to him, the team does look very unified, very be together. You back then to scrap, you back then to dig in, and we have ways of hurting teams.
All aboard, I suppose.

I will say I had some doubts about the whole "hard yards" mentality and had assumed that all decent coaches are going to obviously get the players doing that work.
But I think beyond the fitness levels which are clearly the best they've been in a long time, that mentality does seem to give the players some fight. Very much no feeling sorry for yourselves in the squad it seems.
I also think we've seen stuff that he didn't show at Burnley. We press exceptionally well at times and even though Chelsea broke the press well today we still seemed to get our shape back fairly quickly.
Took us until March last season to get to this same level of points (not including the deduction of course).

We clearly have a fair bit more talent than any team he's worked with before, so I suppose if you can instil his core values of hard work, organisation without the ball and team unity, then it's a decent recipe for us to be a very effective team.
I do agree that I've been impressed with the pressing traps we've employed in different matches, so Dyche seems to have developed a bit as a manager, to his credit. It hasn't just been all out pressing, leaving crazy gaps. It's been selective pressing in certain parts of the pitch, and different against different teams, which again is good.
Assuming we do get to safety, and our finances continue to settle down, I am curious what the next phase of the team would look like under Dyche. Does he double down on his approach and look for players who can do what he wants to a higher standard, or does he look to evolve the team a little bit to add a touch more craft and guile?

To win against Chelsea with our 3rd game in 8 days is a great achievement
