He's not really doing that. Just saying we'd benefit from his multi club model (least just going by the headline)

We were all over taking some of Roma's players not long ago. The Friedkin derby wasn't it? Owners of multi clubs can offer more than just money which is his intention I think.. Like a carrot for us.

Maybe RWD Molenbeek could be a suitable loan destination for some of our academy players.

A loan to the Belgian league won’t bridge the gap to PL football entirely but could put them in the shop window for a Championship loan where they’ll actually play regularly, which is the absolute best way to get players PL ready.

I’m not really enthused at that prospect of having the best players from those other, smaller clubs funneled to us, that feels kind of predatory and unfair, but there is a chance for some kind of symbiosis where we loan players above the level of what they can sign on the open market to increase their standing in their own domestic league and they help get them ready for first-team football at a higher level.

How can you take a minority stake when you valued the 91% at £1? Are you literally offering a Freddo and a pack of Space Invaders?

The minority shareholding already paid for by the 200 million loan get 30% of the club in return for no repayment

Actually saw him pop up in a YouTube video I watched the other day for like 15 seconds. Seemed a nice enough bloke.

What are our thoughts on this guy?

Palace chairman and co-owner Steve Parish is the man in charge of running the club and said that the situation is amicable.

"John has a multi-club setup and because he has a minority position in Crystal Palace it makes it more difficult for him to do the things that he wants to do," said Parish.

"Personally, I think John is making as good a job as anyone in that multi-club situation, he has great assets. He wants a club that plugs into that where he controls everything that happens. We don't think that is right for us as a club right now.

"We do collaborate with his clubs where we can. He wants to go and do something else, we're helping him do that.

"John has supported the club financially, as we all have. He has put his part in and we have put our part in and we're all aligned on the strategy.

"We're very happy to help John fulfil his ambitions. I was chatting to him on email while he was flying to Brazil last night. We will try to find the right people to come in his place.

"Josh, David and I between us have 55%, with some friends. It's a very stable situation for the club and very amicable. We will work to wish John well and do our best to get him in the position we want him to be in."
