He’s too one-footed.

I don’t have a good comp, such is the oddness of his game.

Broadly, I think he’s a one-footed Sigurdsson but with some actual ball-carrying and ball-winning skills.

Not even close, Ossie had great control with both feet for a start.

He might not be the best player but we miss him

I think we’ve missed Garner more, tbh.

I trust Moyes to bring in a couple of players to contribute and improve us, but of the players we currently have, I think Garner will become vital and Moyes will love him.

…and I don’t particularly rate Garner 😂 Just shows how dross this squad is.

Keep seeing people say we miss Garner because of his quality on the ball and wonder if they're talking about James Garner?

People at the match saying McNeils issue is with damaged cartilage and he will be out a fair while.

Damn, that could be his season over. Definitely need an attacking player in this window.

Lots of talk on toffee TV about where does he fit when he's back.

It's a good point. He doesn't start over iliman, he isn't good enough to be your ten next year and he doesn't really do the Doucoure stuff.

He's not fast enough to be a LW, not open play enough to be a ten, can't play 8 or 6, not good enough defender to be a LB.

Would be very happy if we could move on in the summer I think, sell to someone coming up who wants some cracking deliveries?

Would be happy with him as LWB, think he'd be fine there but not against every opposition, there's games we'd need a more solid one vs one defender like Mykolenko to fill that role.

If Branthwaite leaves in the summer I wonder if we could go Myko as LCB and McNeil as LWB but it's a bit of an unknown so probably not the best idea to build an entire season around it.
