That important that I would give a second year if he demanded it- knowing that the second year will likely be a disaster. But he'll be too important this year to risk losing him.

Yeah, absolutely push the boat out to keep him.

He'd be even better if we could get a Gareth Barry regen next to him next season.

Be stupid not to. He's been 1 of our best players this season. We've already got a lot to do in the transfer market. Think it's very important that we retain him for another 12 months. I guess the problem is if he wants longer than that

I'd happily waste a second years worth of wages to tie him down for next year to be honest.

It's a no brainer. He's still got a couple of good years left in him, he's looked after himself and is as fit as a butchers dog, I think any decline will be gradual rather than a sudden drop off the cliff.

It’s a testament to his mentality and professionalism that he can still cover the ground as good now as 10 years ago give him the 2 year contract

35 years old and pressing like that in injury time. He's some boy like.

He's boss.

Got another 2 seasons in him I reckon.

Would love a Gareth Barry regen next to him next season.

I'd have him in every Everton side I've ever watched.

The best ball winner I've ever seen.

Don’t like last bit, his exit!
I thought I’d lost him once before, can’t go through that again until he retires 😢

Can’t begrudge him a Saudi move if he takes it.
