I don't know the Ireland team very well, but would Michael Keane get a start for them if he were Irish?

Plenty of good players don’t get starts at international level.

There’s still a chance that the red flag for him not starting will retrospectively be awarded to the manager for not realising what a player he has.

But… I will say that it is early days in his career so maybe there’s no red flags needed for anyone? Maybe things are just taking their natural course?

If he was an unbelievable talent he would be in by now. Let’s agree he’s probably not that. But that doesn’t mean he can’t turn out to be very good for us. Maybe not this year, maybe not even next, but people need to chill on making assessments until he’s had some game time with us.

Lots of conclusions being made here before we have seen him playing he will be fine is here to be third choice and replace Jared when he is sold next summer

I'll wait until I see this lad playing consistently at a competitive level before casting any judgements but I have a feeling that expectations will need to be tempered a little.

If he can't get a game over michael keane or something fella called o'shea who plays for Ipswich, he's obviously shite. Sometimes this just happens. He's crap. Good luck seeya next year.

No, but they only had 4 recognised CBs, one was on loan from Southampton (Duje Caleta-Car) and one of them was Dejan Lovren, the other was Adryelson who wasnt signed until Jan
