Perhaps he could have showed the club a bit of loyalty after receiving £15 million in wages for the last 3 years while producing very little.
For what it's worth i wish him well wherever he ends up, i'm just glad he's not here anymore
I happen to think that honouring the entire length of your contract is the ultimate loyalty. You did exactly what you agreed you would do.

It’s only when you agitate for a move you dishonour your contract.

And if the only reason we want a player to do more than they agreed to is because then we want to make money by selling them to the highest bidder, then we are the ones who are being disloyal because we are entering into a contract with no intention of seeing it through and fuck the player - he goes wherever the most money is.

The truth is we are incredibly lucky he didn't sign the original contract we offered him. He'd have been third choice on a long term contract at about 7m a year

I love him! I hate him! He doesn’t stay labelled up safely in his lane! When he wears culottes I get confused, have a cry-wank and can’t go outside by myself for days!

Any news on him ? Is he training with anyone or just holidaying ? Still vaguely linked with Newcastle and Leeds I see.

Doubt he'll go anywhere until after the window closes, that'll be when clubs are most desperate. He'll be hoping the likes of Newcastle and Man United have deals fall through.

Not having a proper pre season will be disastrous for him.

Doubt he’ll get back up to speed if he doesn’t find a club soon.

Just seems to want as much money as he can get at this point.

Can see him out of the game in a few years concentrating on a fashion label or something instead.

This is not a thinly veiled homophobic jibe at the fashion shoots, this is a belief that he is a strong, intelligent man and if football does not work out for him I can see him being successful in other passions he has.
