Yeah we need to stop with the statements and just make clever value for money signings that actually fit our needs

Toney is kind of what we need tbf. Target man who scores regularly and knows the premier league.

He's only 30 so you'd get a few years out of him whilst he leads the line in a way only Beto and Barry could dream of.

Good strikers are hard to find and expensive, so if can sign one who not only works how the manager wants, but is a bags man too it's a no brainer.

Would all just depend on fee and wages for me, but if we could do it then we definitely should.

Don't really think Toney would be a statement signing, I'd say he's lost that cache after going to the pro league.

I can't quite work out if he'd be a useful signing for a couple of years though, but I'd lean towards not particularly. His record for Brentford was 12 goals 21/22 season, 20 goals 22/23 and 4 goals 23/24 with about half the games played in that one than the other two seasons.

So really there was one standout season in the PL, two more on par with the strikers we have already...he's older too and would probably want a lot of money. So doesn't really make a ton of sense.

What about the supposed 'No D*ckheads' policy?
