Jacob Murphy linked again.

Unpopular opinion: he’s got far better G/A numbers than anyone we’ve had in recent years. A decent option if he’s dirt cheap.

Do you think there a correlation between his best 2 years, by a mile, having anything to do with playing with the most inform striker in Europe at the time in Isak? Either side of that his stats are more like McNeil.

Jacob Murphy can fuck off unless he costs £7m like Norgaard.

Or did Isak benefit from his delivery and end product from out wide?

Honestly that season he was absolutely class. I get people really don't want him here, and if we're signing Johnston I'd also echo that. We've just signed a 32 year old CM as well, so another reason I'd be against it, even if I think Murphy is actually a good player.

Hes an ok player, but either side of the Isak period hes been bang average, you cant deny that, so I think its more to do with Isak than Murphy. You chuck prime Lukaku back in our team and all of a sudden every player in our squads stats go up.
I think Moyes would love him as hes an 'honest pro' and will run all day blah, blah, blah, but it would be an horrific signing given his age and the fact he would just stunt the development of the players we have, that probably have the ability to hit his highs, with or without an Isak/Lukaku in their team

Yeah I'd definitely rather we have those minutes to Dibling and George, especially the former as this season it's imperative that he gets as much game time as possible.

At this point our recruitment strategy looks more and more like we don't have one.

It looks like we are on Row J of the spreadsheet and everyone is starting to get twitchy the closer they get to the twice weekly progress meetings.

I reckon you drop Barry or Beto into the Eredivisie and they'd knock in a goal every 140 minutes on average as well.

Isn't he another of those "Right footed but plays on the left always cuts inside" type wingers?

Would rather save the Doh and just get Grealish back.

We're missing an out and out right winger who likes to beat a man on the outside.
