Haven’t we agreed to play it at our place for some reason, or did I imagine that?

Where do I get that from?

If Grealish comes back then he has to go out on loan.

Can't fester on our bench.

No way he goes out on loan for me. I can see why people are suggesting it, but I think that would be a disastrous idea.

He's a shy lad, who's taken a while to settle. He just appears to be doing that and coming out of his shell a bit, and then people want to uprout him again, send him somewhere new for another year and then ask him to come back in a year, which will take another adjustment.

He'll have to be patient, and take his chances when they come for us this season. He's done well in pre-season, so that's a good start.

I've been critical but it's quite disappointing and worrying that he didn't even get on the pitch at the weekend given that he looked decent in preseason.

Can’t see Grealish coming back, don’t think Maresco can make his mind up in the next ten days.

Same here, although I did wonder whether the logic was that Johnson needed the minutes more and that's why he got on. But yeah, can't imagine he's feeling great about his chances again.

Yeah my main disappointment from Saturday.

Also putting Alcaraz on was and always is, pointless. He is horrendous as a sub. He was awful for the 5 mins or so he was on the pitch. Hope that never happens again!!

When you look at the team and see the following players it gives us so much more energy and athleticism than last season, to the point I just hate the idea of Grealish coming back and taking some of that away (as good as he is):

Armstrong
Rohl
Hackney
George
Johnson
Dibling

Just play these guys, play them as much and as often as possible.

Playing all of them together, by choice, would send Moyes into a cold sweat.

It probably is too much inexperience in one team at this level, to be fair though. Especially if you also throw a young, raw striker into the mix too.

It’s going to be Norgaard and Garner in there whether we like it or not.

But it would be nice to see. Just once. Maybe in the cups?

Yeah sorry I didn't necessarily mean play them all together, just that I'd rather they all got regular game time than relegating some to only an occasional 10 mins here and there.

With Ndaiye and George the preferred wingers we are already pushing either Dibling or Johnson to third choice RW, and Bringing in Grealish would push George to backup LW, and also take away that pace and directness we need in the team.

The only starting players I'd look to sign right now would be both full back positions, and even then that means Rohl's minutes suddenly drop off, and potentially we replace a pacy direct player with a more solid and less dynamic player like Johnston.

I just think we've got such an exciting crop of 25 and under players that are bringing a new and much needed energy to the team that I don't want anyone brought in who dilutes that.

No way Moyes plays all those lads in the same team he would collapse I think Tyler should be starting the fact that he didn’t even come on is baffling

I hope he gets some minutes on Wednesday, really feel for him after showing more of what hes capable of during the preseason
