Problem is Barry was given those minutes because of how bad Beto was. You can't really extrapolate that over a season because he doesn't perform as he currently is for that length of time.

I think the Beto we saw after Moyes came in last season, and the Beto over the last 8-9 games, would be someone we'd all happily give a full season to as a first choice striker. I'd be more than happy to forgive things he's weak at if he continued to be a good focal point and score a reasonable number of goals... We have a large enough sample size to know that this isn't something he can sustain over a longer period unfortunately.

He really is quite a solid striker for this level as long as his first touch isn’t regularly starting counters for the other team.

If he’s worked out most of his issues controlling the ball, I’m happy with him continuing to play a big role next season.

In terms of availability.

We don't need 3 to provide a greater depth of quality as surely any incoming striker would be expected to be significantly better than either leaving.
