Ive read a lot of Leeds fans saying thank god he is leaving. Apparently poor decisions and lots of excuses/delusion in communication with fans etc.
I have zero clue about him, and its just fans on socials like....but just wondering.

Does anyone know how strong the connection between TFG and the Saudis is?
I notice that Roma are sponsored by 'Riyadh Season' and they signed a Saudi full-back last summer (not sure if related) but also saw that PIF were trying to buy the club and maybe it's just a build up to that.
If we get involved with the Saudis then I'll be sick.

Would swerve it if that happened.

Reports I’ve read they are trying to sell Roma, if they sell it to the P.I.F so be it, wouldn’t bother me, sell Roma, invest it in Everton.

Bit of a mad situation this Kinnear thing.
How can you possibly take another DOF role at a future date and not automatically be put on gardening leave for your current one?
Having access to one club's data model at a time you have signed a contract and will be moving to a competing club in a number of months seems batshit crazy to me.
A kid has a spike in fundamental and underlying metrics over the course of the next few months, maybe has a growth spurt. Are you going to flag it to your employer or sit on it for a few months?
You become aware that an international scout that you have wanted or ages is going to become available in the summer. Do you begin the process of recruitment, or drop a backchannel in to get him in for your new place?
It's all well and good relying on peoples honesty. But there comes a point where honesty just makes you look like a dickhead who can't properly navigate a business as cut throat as the premier league.

He’s not coming in as director of football.
He’s the CEO

Ignore everything i have just said. (although, the point still stands to some extent. You'd expect to be put on gardening leave if you were leaving as a CEO of one company and moving to a competitor)

Is this guy a bit rubbish, then, and a bit of a bell?
*I’d be fine if he was decent/modern/forward thinking and a bit of a bell

I think most CEOs are bells to some extent. It goes with the territory. They have to drive the business forward and oversee all aspects of the club, so they're not gonna be everybody's best mate.
In terms of his quality, he was Arsenal's Commercial Director for a few years, he was CEO of West Ham when they moved stadium, he's overseen some ups and downs at Leeds, but mostly ups compared to what came before him. They had their first few seasons back in the Prem for nearly 2 decades under him, and they look like they're about to come back next year.
He's obviously way more qualified and experienced than Chong and DBB, for example.
The Friedkins have used a headhunting consultancy to identify and appoint him, so at least there's the kind of modern business practice we've been crying out for that's gone into the process rather than the jobs for the boys stuff we're used to.
I guess we'll have to wait and see and judge him as he goes along, but I don't really see any reason for negative vibes at the moment.

Angus Kinnear coming in as CEO, no single DOF but a wider "sporting leadership team" whatever that is.
