I hadn't really paid much attention but it's getting fairly critical for him when he doesn't even get a call up to the Scotland squad, meanwhile Antony Ralston who can barely get a kick at Celtic and has only played about 500 minutes is current first choice right back.

Probably regrets every bit of this move doesn't he?

Yet another manager not fancying him though, so not sure when we pull the plug and ditch him... Still want him to come good but there's an undeniable pattern that's developed in his time here.

How long is on his contract, can’t be much? hopefully, if Moyes isn’t convinced either, we send him on a 6 month loan next season to a top championship club/promoted prem club and get him a run of games. There’s definitely a player in there. Such a shame, I like the lad.

I don't think it's so much another manager not fancying him. Dyche played him then he picked up an injury and his Ashley Young love in never shifted after that. Moyes clearly likes O'Brien at right back for now. Unfortunately I think Coleman and/or Young will get another deal.
I think he'll go on to have a good career somewhere but, and I know I'm repeating myself, for the money we invested in him our development of him has been appalling.

Still two years in June.

Time to do right by the lad and get him games with someone and decide whether or not him future lies with us.

He looks like a promising 18 year-old fullback to me. Some good with a fair bit bad. The issue is that he's actually 23.
Contracted until 2027. Get him out on loan in the championship next season and see what happens after that.

Yeah, needs to get games somewhere. He wasn't too bad at LB against Arsenal but you can't expect him to come in with 120 minutes under his belt all season and perform that well.

Played a criminal amount of first team games for a lad his age. Urgently needs games in his legs.

Just not here hopefully, criminal play acting for the second goal.

He was fouled though, wasn't he? (haven't seen it back)

He was, the guy was pulling his shirt and stopping his run, but any other contact was minimal and I don't think justified him lieing on the floor while they equalised.
He's not entirely to blame for the goal, but it was embarrassing. He wasn't hurt.

Bit of a stretch blaming him for any part in the goal given he was fouled, it came down the other side and there was three other players around the ball when it came into the box.
Thought he did okay, better going forward, still slightly suspect at the back and got an assist even if it's a fairly simple one.

If it had been doucs giving the ball away instead of Patterson flopping for them to break and score. We'd all find a way to include him in the blame.
From that moment we never got our shape back. Doesnt mean he's to blame but that was the seed of their attack
