Nah he misses like 3 sitters a game, pass. Don't get those chances for us.

Nope, totally pointless thread given we couldn't afford him and he's been linked with clubs far more appealing than us.

Looking like 30 mill which for a decent striker is good
Being linked with someone isn’t confirmation they want him

Wants to leave to play Champions League football
But hey we still might have a chance, right?

Absolutely no chance tbh.
Weird to see how quickly Palace have imploded.
Guhiui, Eze and Mateta along with the manager. That cup side basically ripped apart in double quick time.

Unfortunately that's the place FFP leaves teams.
Success can't be maintained outside of the top teams with huge revenue streams. Those same teams however can fail infinitely, both on the pitch and off it with bad transfer decisions without any repercussions aside maybe a long list of discarded managers.

This is true, but I think with Palace it's just the way football has been for a long time. Clubs outside of the big ones are always prone to losing their best players and manager following any kind of success as the bigger clubs pick them off.
A sad reality of modern football that goes beyond FFP i think

I think there’s friction between the manager and the owners and once the players know the manager is off…

He plays the lone striker very well IMHO, Palace play that little fella off him who I also like. I think he'd suit our game really well. Not prolific but 10-15 goals

Even if he was available to us, I’d rather play Barry.
One’s on the way up, one’s already peaked. I’d rather capture the peak of a younger player, which we will in a few years if we stay the course.
