Be great to see us get any level of Europe. There's no reason why we couldn't be in the mix

To be honest the table is so tight still anything could happen but really you likely need to win these sorts of games to thinking about such things.

Maybe when everyone is back we can put a run together again but looks like injuries and AFCON is just a bit much for us.

I always, always allow myself to get carried away.

It's still within reach, but can't see it.

As long as we're mathematically in with a shout and the league remains tight this thread will always be full of reactionary comments depending on the latest result.

Twas another opportunity missed , only 3pts off 5th... But think you would need to win about 5 in the bounce to take proper advantage...

Too inconsistent

This seems to be the case for most of the league at the minute.

Anyone between 14th and 5th could win 4 of 5 and put themselves in a great position for Europe but no one has been able to do that this season.

Ultimately I think we will fade away but maybe we get a RB in and can make a little run to give us a good chance.

Remember we are just trying to get a reasonable amount of points with our best players not here. If we are still in the mix end of Feb we will have Ndiaye, Dewsbury Hall, Gueye and Branthwaite likely available and could well go on a run.

Europe is absolutely in the equation for a long while yet

Moyes could have set us up differently today, but without decent fullbacks we aren't gonna win enough games to get Europe.

Change the last word in the thread title to relegation.

And about 8 players off.

Hoping we end the season strongly, at least it looks like only 1 more league game without Ndiaye and Gana? Plus hopefully KDH and Branthwaite back from injury by the end of the month (guessing here)

Not beyond the realms of possibility that we get that conference league spot if we get those 4 back in the starting line up for the majority of the remaining games
