Haha isn't it? I'm pretty sure that's the definition of a no lose situation

Sounds more like win win than no lose
He reportedly wants 150k a week though which actually makes it a win or lose situation

Same thing surely? 2 scenarios both win... Win win.
But yes add in the wage demands, the potential for him actually being shit makes it more of an unknown rather than a definite win / no lose situation

150k is fine for a player you think will lead your line for a few years then make a profit on.

Well because...other outcomes are available?

Absolutely but that's assuming he leads our line for a few years and then we make a profit. If he fails here we don't get our money back because no one will pay them wages. So it's not win win or no lose as some claim

It's a silly debate but I think you're talking about a win draw rather than a win win
Personally though I don't think hes very good. So a decent chance of a lose

Yes but I'd completely ignored those so in my scenario it was just those two
But yes on reflection there's countless others that make it less guaranteed.

Is this fella really worth 150 a week

I'd say no and a massive gamble on the salary front. 150k is Probably the wage for a 60m player ,
that's the only bonus is he comes and works out we sell for double , treble
150k over 4/5 contract 30 /40m sell for 60/70

If he's our main striker then put faith in him and give him the money. I don't know enough about him but would rather if we were going prem proven someone like this than a Danny Ings scenario

We've finally cleared out all the ridiculous contracts we've been handing out these past few years. Handing someone 60m over 4 years cos they've had half a good season. He looks nothing special

I think he will be really really good and would love us to pull it off. But think he will go United or Newcastle

Doesn't seem that special to me. 12 goals this season in the premier league. How does that stack up against Betos half season under Moyes. He comes across as a Charlie big bollocks. It's a no from me.
