Oh ha, didn't realise they paid 13 for him? Then yeah, that does change things and is a silly offer in those circumstances.

I guess if that's the scale, and I don't think I know what the scale is anymore for a lot of players, maybe Sunderland could ask for somewhere between 17 to 23 mil or around that maybe?

And the reality is they are trying to unsettle the player to help them get him for an amount of money that sunderland csn do next to nothing with

He’s had two relegations in a row, must be aiming for the hat trick!

Although signing Dubravka might mean they keep a lot more clean sheets next season!

Not for me, they're spending a lot of money on players that are big fish in small ponds. They've always done it. Solanke, Richarlison, Palhinha, Maddison, Kudus... I think they'll finish around 7th but that's the ceiling with those sort of transfers

Is anyone, at any point, ever arsed about ANYTHING spurs ever do in the transfer market?

I really like Tonali, he's a very good player and I'm surprised he didn't have better offers, but that might be down to the fee Spurs are willing to pay.
If I was a Spurs fan id be really optimistic about next season, looking promising. It also dispels the theory that gets pushed around about our struggles in the market and not being able to attract good players due to lack of Europe etc, etc, etc. if you show the right ambition, get the right manager in then players will want to be part of that project

I think you said the difference at the start, that Spurs are willing to overpay. They're probably overpaying in the wages department too. Same thing as Man United have been doing really for ages too.

That's the difference though with the teams who don't have to worry about PSR and those that do. Everton just don't have the same flexibility to throw money around.
