Thought Beto played well last night. Held the ball up made things happen and drew fouls.

Let's not pretend that the Serie A is weaker than the Premier League, it is also well known to be harder to score goals in Serie A.
Beto is a good striker, but we do not play to his strengths. He hasn't scored much at Everton, but seeing as we do not play the way is suited to him it's not his fault we bought him.

He is not as bad as some make out. I like him and can see what he could bring if used correctly.

Beto’s alright if we bring in a ball playing cm and a winger. Maybe a RB with a decent cross. Relying on his hold up play with what we have now is very risky

He also didn't score more than 10 in a season in Italy which is a weaker league, so the idea he'd score the same or more in the Premier League is fanciful at best

His shooting is garbage anyway, it's every bit as likely to leave the stadium as it is to hit the net, probably more likely.

He should just quit and become a wrestler as that's the only attribute he has that's ok. Even then he spends so much of his focus grappling with the CB he forgets he actually needs to try and control the ball so it doesn't come to anything or allow us to retain possession.

He looked shite for the under 23s the other day, looked shite against league 2 opposition. The jury isn't even out on this guy, they returned a verdict of being shit and it didn't even take a period of deliberation.

Advocating Beto as our starting striker is just advocating pure suicide.
Tell us what you really think why don't ya!

Another vague link to another Lyon player. Just need to send Maupay the other way and get a Brazilian from Botofogo and Textor can have the keys

Serie A isn't hard to score in these days, that's a myth carried over from the 90s.

3.06 goals per game average Vs 2.75 premier league.

Serie A is in fact the top scoring league out of the main 5 leagues in Europe.

Ok... So better than the premier league? Or worse defenders?

I'm not really sure the argument you're making here?

Unless their average went up and ours went down when Beto moved and there were no other variables to consider… I’m not sure what we’re debating?
