General Transfer Thread
Re: General Transfer Thread
I fucking hate him, in fact, I fucking hated him when he played for us then he moved to one of the teams I hate the most just to make me hate him even more. He's got a face only a mother could love.

His team mates may have done it behind his back on the ones he managed to miss…Bob Sacamano wrote: ↑Sat Jun 06, 2026 6:15 am Is that his celebration or did he create a new one for the transfer? Can’t recall him doing this after any of the penalties I’ve seen him manage to score.

Brighton have started to get the ball rolling.
Brighton agree £21.5m deal for winger Yohanna.

I know nothing about him but the Brighton scouts are usually pretty good about these things

He’s too boring to cost 100mill. Flash in the pan playing in a system that suits. He’s Kalvin Phillips.

Inflation is everywhere it would seem.
Didn’t think either Anderson or Alvarez are worth those prices.

The game has gone completely mad.
He's a decent enough player, but come on, £100m for him?
Somebody needs to get a grip

Re: General Transfer Thread
If you add in the England player price bump...I'd still struggle to rate him at more than 80-90 mil maybe? It's like handballs...I don't even know how to judge these things anymore.
Just watching him play I'd say if we were buying him I'd think 50-60 mil was a reasonable fee. Declan Rice at the time seemed expensive, but you could see the level he was at or could get to so understood that thought process more. I can't say I really get it as much for Anderson but maybe we'll see him bang in a hattrick for England or something.
Maybe my thoughts are skewed a bit based on the games we played against Forest this season, but genuinely thought Garner bossed that latter game over him.

Re: General Transfer Thread
I wonder if the clubs know something that we don't about new rules for homegrown players or something.
If you implement a rule about having to have at least 3 British players in your starting line up or something then it might justify the inflation of fees for British players
