Re: 777 Partners Takeover

I think beyond a few sponsorship deals, the contacts these guys would have to make the boardroom a lot stronger is possibly the greatest added value they can bring.

We need to have top class people running the various departments of the club to remain competitive, and we need to move away from giving the most important roles at the club to people who've done a bit of decent work with a charity or who've been in the building for ages and ''probably deserve a step up''.

We need to be identifying top people from other clubs, or other industries who are excelling and headhunt them like serious businesses and serious football clubs do. There's a limited amount of money you can throw at the situation, because of the regulations, but you can make a big difference by having top people in key positions. And in reality filling those roles with top people probably costs less than buying an average player from the Championship these days.

Few weeks ago we were in the clutches of vultures, about to strip us of all our assets and leave us as a shell of a club. Now, two Evertonians are taking us over with the backing of the 10th richest person on the planet! I’m over the moon, Jeff!

Mental that we went anywhere near 777 when there are now half a dozen people wanting to buy us!

Just hope it’s sorted early on this summer

Definitely hope it's sorted soon, but to a capable owner, so would favour quality over expediency.

Could well be that 777 was the thing that allowed Moshiri to not only protect his investment (having them provide 200m to keep us going), and also to generate the noise and provide the time for other potential buyers to get their things in order to give him the best chance of driving the price up via a competitive sale environment.

That company that was linked to buying us earlier was only incorporated/registered in mid-May, during 777s exclusivity agreement.

We as fans want immediate action, but our owner probably has other priorities.

Just goes to show how horrible the Stake logo is when just changing it to Dell makes the shirt look 🔥🔥🔥

It just emphasises how totally incompetent Moshiri was to have picked 777 instead of looking for proper business people. They were obviously there but he didn't look.

I wonder if the reason that we where one of the clubs who voted against the "sponsorship loophole" earlier was based on knowing that this was on the horizon.

Not saying we will end up being sponsored by Dell but it's a possibility, allowing them to funnel tonnes into the club.

Lads, Dell aren't buying the club.
Neither is their family office. They're not "ploughing" money into the club.

They're the equivalent of a bank in this situation as far as I can see.

Unless there's been a news piece somewhere saying somebody within Dell are specifically wanting to spend money for the sake of it?
