Good signing hopefully, right money and age profile, plenty of known unknowns with a 19 year old though.

Just tucking into a nice slice of humble pie.

Very exciting, more of this and we can approach this season with optimism

I like it. No negatives. I wouldn't be surprised if he plays more as a winger in the first season with how solid Mykolenko is given that Aznou is 19 and not played much professional football yet.

He’s replaces Young doesn’t he.

Which is good as he was a really important player with how versatile he was.

Plenty of gaps in the squad for him to get good game time next season.

Looks great fun going forward, would like to see a few more examples of him splitting opposition wingers in 2. I presume he can defend too.

He needs enough minutes next season, a manager who encourages him and a clear pathway to the first 11

Still highly sceptical of the club and the direction we’re heading in at the moment to get too excited about this but happy he’s here nonetheless.
I wish we’d made more of those young signings under Moshiri, even if they didn’t work out for whatever reason, we still managed to make a profit or get our money back from those player sales, including also Vlasic and Nkounkou. At least Branthwaite has worked out.

Of course we can’t help but wonder, if the club hadn’t been run so badly during that time, whether those players would have been still been good key players for us now or would have moved anyway to a Champions League club for even more money, we will never know.

Even if it doesn’t work out for him here, I hope at worst another club sees potential in him and we get our money back from the sale.

Just calling it as I see it.

Very happy with the signing. Just hope the club has learned from its mistakes.
But that's just it, there's literally no one left at the club that made these mistakes but people are still talking like it's the same regime involved. They might well fuck it up but for now we've brought some decent people in and a manager that knows the club better than anyone else. We've signed four players and tied two of our most important players in to new contracts, they deserve a bit more time than some people have given them.

He's flown out today judging by the club socials.

Think I shared this a few pages back, but worth revisiting

Barkley, Deulofeu, Lookman, Vlasic. Tons of talent there, just completely wasted.

Makes you remember what an uninspired choice Koeman was.

I bet we fared better in the alternate universe where we hired Lucien Favre instead, although Moshiri’s incompetence probably still caught up with him in the end.

Yep. I think his versatility is a double-edged sword though. Yes it gives him more opportunities to be in the eleven, but it must also be managed well, because too much playing him out of his best position could have an adverse effect - especially with his relationship with the fans.
