I’d personally give him a run in the side with Ndiaye out.
All these players who’ve barely had any minutes - Dibling, Rohl, McNeil, Patterson, Aznou will need a run of appearances to get match sharpness back - and also to integrate themselves into the side and familiarise themselves with their team mates
Dibling is also going to suffer from not having a proper right back behind him

It's hard not to judge when he comes on, walks around with his socks down and barely breaks into a jog. I'd expect a young player looking to impress to be busting a gut, showing for the ball and doing far more work off the ball and if he's not going to do the off the ball work then he'll need to do far better when he does have it and that doesn't matter if he was £4m or £40m. On his showing so far you can see why he's not getting games.

That's exactly what i'm feeling.
It's not him personally, it's the ludicrous chase and amount we spent on him when there were more important signings needed

35m on a third choice winger when we literally cant field a right back. Thats ineptitude. You'd have to be convinced hes a sure thing to be worth double or even treble that down the road and youd have to be convinced it had to be now because others were interested for that to make any sense.
I might be doing the club a massive disservice but I think our scouting was that people have said hes gonna be the next big thing and worth 100m so we will make a statement and sign him.

It's not necessarily just the Dibling signing though, as bizarre as it now appears. It's the £7m on a reserve left back who is a year away from first team action, £15m on a lad from Germany who had injury issues before he arrived and hasn't been fit since, £15m to make Alcaraz permanent when Moyes doesn't really fancy him and £25m on Barry who looks miles off. £100m spent which hasn't improved the team and barely improved the squad. All while not having a right back at the club.
Granted a few of them are just because we had no players so we needed to sign someone, anyone, to make sure we could field a full team plus subs but you'd hope the recruitment team have a better idea of what we really need moving forwards.

Yeah we bought DH and a load of players who arent deemed good enough to play games for us.
If we'd had a great window rather than another poor 1 we'd be in genuine contention for champions league

He has undeniable talent, but I feel exactly the same way when I see him on the pitch. Shoulders down, no real expression, hands tucked away underneath his long sleeve shirt, socks down, and just far far too relaxed.
He should be a ball of energy at his young age - excited and nervous, flying into challenges, proving that he belongs here. But I don’t see any of that, and it’s worrying.
He will not to be replacing Grealish and N’Diaye at any point without a big reset of the above. He has a big enough challenge on his hands anyway, but without the right attitude, it will be impossible. Hopefully he wakes up fairly soon and realises that he isn’t at Southampton anymore where he can just coast along.

I reckon he’s naturally a reserved lad, and he’s being told to be safe, and consequently is worried to make a mistake.

He's not doing enough to warrant a place in the team at the moment. The manager would pick him if he was making himself undroppable.
Ultimately he's a longterm prospect, and we need to be signing more of them not fewer. Lots of players don't force their way into first teams (especially age 19) immediately. Moyes isn't the only manager who slowly phases players into a club. Far from it, in fact.
