Just looks very heavy legged. Trying hard but AFCON zapped him of his stamina.
Quite concerning that he's also got the world cup to play too, so wouldn't expect him to be at his best next season either.
Lad needs a proper break but won't get it this summer unfortunately.

I don't get this AFCON argument, they played about the same amount of games when they were away as they would have if they were still here and it finished about three months ago. Maybe this is just his normal level and he was playing slightly above it before.

He doesn't look dead on his arse, just terrible decision making throughout the match be it at the start or the end of a game.

I think he's trying to do too much personally. Whether that's down to not trusting team-mates especially in the absence of Grealish, or whether it's just being selfish I'm not sure. But he's constantly hanging on to the ball for too long, usually after an initial quality few touches to beat a man and open up some space which he then doesn't use.
I do think the full back situation is making it worse though as well.

In fairness to him the whole team lacks a bit of composure, so many times we could just square a pass for an easy chance rather than a shit shot, most the team is guilty of duff decisions.

Travel, big competitions take more energy, the emotional ups and downs of winning it... Then losing it... They all take their toll.
I find it hard to believe playing x number of games at the AFCON is the equivalent energy expenditure physically and mentally as the same number of premier league games.

Possibly not but there's players playing in Europe and the league week in week out that still perform.

I still don't see it, it's not like he looks tired, he's an ultra fit PL footballer, 40-50 games a season should be fairly easy for a player at this level and he's played 42. AFCON was the same time there's a congested period in the PL so the players still here had a fairly heavy schedule and it's not like he was flying all over Africa every couple of days, he was even an unused sub in one of their games so had a 10 day break plus Gana's 10 years older and looks fine. He's great fun, but I've said before he's full of tricks, he can escape three players, then not do much with the ball or try a shot that everyone can see isn't on, I think this is probably his true level we're seeing at the moment.

He's the most interesting and exciting player I've seen in an Everton shirt since Rooney. His ball control is incredible and his natural instinct is almost that of Rooney. He is actually lot more individual but can absolutely pick a pass when needed, and accommodate according to who he is passing to.
I think it's likely mental as much as physical, there's something not quite clicking with a few in the squad especially the last handful of games. When on form and well set up we do actually have a decent enough team from the midfield forward. Fullbacks please.
If we could play him more behind Beto, in more space, could be lethal with his usually good finishing. Ili and KDH behind a striker, if on song, could tear teams apart.
In a higher quality team (please be us) he would be even better.

Even off form he is still one of our biggest threats. His defensive work is also a massive plus that doesn’t usually come with a player of his skills and confidence going forward.
Would I like him to be scoring or assisting every game? Of course. But then you’re asking for top top drawer level of players. This guy almost came out of no where and has performed above expectations overall imo.
